Probably when Palestinians allow Israelis to live in peace, however the avowed intent of Palestinians and supporters to eradicate Israel, doesn’t give much hope of peaceful coexistence.

You reckon? There is no doubt that from the outset there have been outright attempts to remove the State of Israel, ranging from terrorist activity to invasion, as long as we have extremists pulling the strings sadly I can see no end.

No-one wants to see the destruction and deaths from the current conflict continue, but remember Israel didn’t create Gaza, it grew from being a refugee camp, with people fleeing conflict, in many cases as advised by nations hostile to Israel, this is as the advice given by Arab nations so that those Arab nations could destroy Israel while protecting non Israelis.

As we all know that plan failed miserably and fortunately most neighbouring nations came to realise that recognition and negotiation was a much better solution, there is so much chatter about Israel acknowledging the rights of Palestinians, when are the bad actors going to acknowledge the rights of Israel?

As ever there are rights and wrongs on both sides but the current trend for pointing the finger at Israel as the villain is misplaced and far from the whole story.

silver fox, your view of the history of the conflict between Zionism and the Palestinians it displaced and continues to dominate is too much influenced by the former's narrative. A useful account of the conflict from the Palestinians' [as distinct from that of the neighbouring Arab countries] perspective is Rashid Khalidi's The Hundred Years' War on Palestine. FYI the book is listed in the Liverpool library catalogue. Plus, it is available to read online.
