Israeli governments from Begin's forward have, when speaking about a two state solution, meant only that Palestinians resident in the West Bank and Gaza would have limited autonomy under the control of Israel.
Not, I expect, what most forum readers believe the two state solution entails for the Palestinian people!

The problem is the Palestinians are not being offered even the semblance of a state, the current "offer" is surrender, lay down your weapons, and get back in the prison camp we have just ravaged.
Biden et al may be thinking of a "two state" solution but Israel clearly isn't.

My two-state interpretation, since both populations are of approximately equal size, would be two independent sovereign States with similar-sized land areas. Both having a seat at the UN. Both controlling their own territorial waters with their own exclusive fishing-rights and coastlines of similar length. Both having their own armed force, with their own independent army, navy and airforce.
Good morning PNP
You obviously are not keeping up with the latest developments. Read what Reuters reported yesterday.
JERUSALEM, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Israel is seeking Palestinians who are not affiliated with Hamas to manage civilian affairs in areas of the Gaza Strip designed as testing grounds for post-war administration of the enclave, a senior Israeli official said on Thursday.
But Hamas said the plan, which the Israeli official said would also exclude anybody on the payroll of the internationally recognised Palestinian Authority (PA), would effectively mean an Israeli reoccupation of Gaza and was doomed to failure.
The Israeli official said the planned "humanitarian pockets" would be in districts of the Gaza Strip from which Hamas has been expelled, but that their ultimate success would hinge on Israel achieving its goal of destroying the Islamist faction across the tiny coastal territory that it has been governing.
"We're looking for the right people to step up to the plate," the official told Reuters on condition of anonymity. "But it is clear that this will take time, as no one will come forward if they think Hamas will put a bullet in their head."

This is the problem
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”
Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

…not precisely the problem
The reality is that Israel has never negotiated on the basis of a two state solution as most people interpret the expression. Israel has never been prepared to concede an actual, effective Palestinian state — but it has managed to give the illusion!
Menachem Begin and Israel's leadership before and since have used subterfuge and artifice to obscure their true objectives. It must be said however, neither Begin himself, nor other Israeli PMs had been especially secretive about their intentions. The artifice has been in persuading public opinion in the countries that matter by means of perennial dissemination of half-truths and misinformation.

Interesting you have spread from Hamas to Islam.
Does that apply here?

Oh yes!
THE COVENANT OF THE HAMAS - MAIN POINTS

Its interesting for those of us who see unhindered hate on our capitals streets implicitly condoned by the Met Police who turn a blind eye whilst innocent Jewish people fear going out.
We see the vicious hate that permeates our society from frightened school teachers and children to our Parliament cowering, our weak Conservative government prepares us for the liar Starmers complete capitulation to the haters.
And a racist London Mayor who drives division and hate.
If only 30p Lee hadn't the temerity to call it out.
The appeasers will be gunning for him.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel plans to build more than 3,300 new homes in settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank in response to a fatal Palestinian shooting attack, a senior Cabinet minister said. The decision drew an angry response from the U.S. at a time of growing tensions over the course of Israel’s war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s finance minister, far-right firebrand Bezalel Smotrich, announced the new settlement plans late Thursday, after three Palestinian gunmen opened fire on cars near the Maale Adumim settlement, killing one Israeli and wounding five.
…
Consecutive Israeli governments have expanded settlements in east Jerusalem and the West Bank, war-won territories the Palestinians seek for a future state, along with Gaza. Construction has accelerated under Netanyahu’s current right-wing government, which includes settlers, including Smotrich, in key positions.
“Instead of acting in order to prevent future horrible attacks such as of yesterday, the government of Israel is acting to deepen the conflict and the tensions,” said Hagit Ofran, from Israeli settlement watchdog group Peace Now.
“The construction in settlements is bad for Israel, distancing us from peace and security,” she said.

It was right to kick him out.
If he had any evidence on Sadiq Khan and cronies he should have
backed it up.

Same sort of backlash happened when WW1 kicked off...Germans who were living here in UK, became rather unpopular.

Likening Jews to wartime Germans. A popular comparison for some...
It's unsurprising that Jewish people in this country are afraid to go out when they're being threatened and harassed and told that they're Nazis.

Fyi, back in 1914, 'Nazis' hadn't been invented. Germans were living/working here. E.g. in a family members neighbourhood, one 'Kraut' had a popular sausage shop - it soon closed!

And for your information, that's information that was unnecessary to provide to me. I did notice that you specifically chose to reference WW1 rather than WWII. Indeed if you reread what I said you'll see that I said that it's a popular comparison for some to liken Jews to "wartime Germans" - not to 'Nazis'.
But thanks for the history 'lesson', anyway. Next, you'll be pointing out to me other rare history gems such as that WW1 and WW11 were actually different wars.

It's difficult to tell if you find it agreeable or disagreeable that local neighbourhood businesses and business owners themselves were targeted by local people for reasons of political passions stirred by war. Imagine being a business owner who found themselves in that situation - before they became an ex business owner, of course.
You mention a term used to describe Germans, and there's many terms used on social media to describe Jewish people.
I've recently read of Jewish restaurants being targeted.
I wonder if a vocal pro-Palestinian supporter and business owner will ever find themselves in a situation that provides a modern parallel to the story and situation you described?
What 'term' will be used to describe that person?
