Four men have been charged in connection with a video which appeared to show antisemitic abuse being shouted from a car in north London during a protest over Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

A demonstration in May saw a group of cars adorned with Palestinian flags driving through St John’s Wood in north London.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said Mohammed Iftikhar Hanif, 27, Adil Mota, 26, Asif Ali, 25, and Jawaad Hussain, 24 had been charged. All four men are from Blackburn.

I thought that Burnhams gripe was that the NW was carrying the main part of the burden and some areas none at all and the Government isn't providing the promised funding.

His statement asking that all Councils take a share of asylum seekers is unhelpful in an emergency situation.

Some Council areas do not have the support systems for traumatised people or interpreter services child psychology support or cultural needs support in religion.

It's unhelpful that the Councils in the more affluent areas aren't taking any, the Government should be giving allocations whether they like it or not.

If they didn't keep p*****g-off the Palestinians, maybe they wouldn't need such a 'front line'. When they aren't encroaching on Palestinian land, building settlements etc, they're up to something else, like harassing and provoking Palestinians on the way to the Mosque.

Of course, the Palestinians predictably react in the only ways they can, by throwing stones or setting off home-made rockets. Which results in over-the-top Israeli air-strikes against the Palestinians, demolishing swathes of Gaza, conveniently eliminating a few hundred more of those troublesome Palestinians in the process.

I can't see an end to all the years of trouble, until the Israelis see sense and agree to not only end their blockade. End their illegal occupation of Palestinian land - and accept the Palestinians have a right to an independent State of their own. Btw, I'm not taking sides, just want to see fair play and peace in the region!

And I wouldn't mind betting there's more than a few Israelis, who if they could wave a magic wand and make all Palestinians vanish overnight, they would.

Palestinians forcibly displaced by migrating Europeans, have been fighting back since around 1947 - long before Islamic Jihad came into the picture.

Based on the Israelis past actions in clearing-out Palestinians, it's bound to resurface somewhere down the line.

At first they're welcomed, after all, who wouldn't lend a helping hand to their fellow man? But over time when more and more keep on coming, attitudes to the incomers begin to change.

Resentment builds, as the population begins to feel threatened by weight of migrant numbers. Acts of vandalism, desecration, violence start to occur. E.g. car, knife, bomb attacks etc, kick off. Both sides ultimately end up at each others throats - and bingo you have a permanent state of virtual war. Imo, the flow needs to be stemmed now, before thing get too far out of hand.....Myanmar today - England tomorrow?

True.....But that was a very different form of 'invasion', i.e. a full-scale military campaign from the outset. We didn't see Germans steadily moving into those countries over the preceding decades, carrying out a gradual civilian takeover through weight of numbers.
