Perhaps, I did not pay much notice to the sign on it, just the building and that there were a couple of monks exiting from it one day. They could have been visiting from Birkenhead??
The Convent was a massive building, that came down some years ago.

My girlfriend before she was married lived on Weld Rd., the opposite side To the Convent towards the railway crossing. It was called Priory Gardens and was believed to be a monastery before it was converted into homes, I remember the stone flagged floors.
