We're Doomed.
According to the BBC a respected scientist (unnamed) has predicted we are on the verge of a "third wave".
What is even more predictable than a third wave is that the BBC will go all out to hold onto this fear factor for as long as they possibly can - even though they will have to run it alongside the biggest fear generator of all time - which is global warming. (You aint seen nothing yet!)
In the words of Private Fraser in Dads Army "We're doomed, I tell you, We're Doomed". If it wasn't for the fact that many people are scared stiff because they hang on to every word the media puts out and the resulting anxiety causes grave mental health problems, we could all treat this rubbish with the contempt it deserves.

Maybe the name is only visible to people who live 3,000 miles away!
Cambridge University microbiologist Professor Ravi Gupta. Prof. Gupta is a member of the government's Nervtag group.

Worse to Come?
It was reported recently, that the Indian variant had combined in Vietnam with another equally nasty variant........apparently the resulting combination is airborne - eek!

Whatever next? Before we know it, they’ll be telling us the word is spherical shaped and we really did land on the moon. Best put your tinfoil hat back on and hunker down.

Born of wealthy parents, he studied chemistry then public health. The fact that he is a professor means that he is a scholar not a medical doctor. If he works for the government - he would be a fool to claim anything other than what the government are paying him for.

Just how on Earth can anyone predict that? Any virus is as likely to die out at any given time. As far as the coronavirus family is concerned it should have died out in March if history is anything to go by.
You are right, it has affected those with mental disabilities and this is very sad - a huge number of people have died from suicide, but no-one in the media medical field cares about those people. Their sympathy lies only with the tiny 0.06% of the population, the majority of 0.94% of the population do not matter.
The claimed virus is being co-ordinated along with the Climate Change pantomime - but yes, the worst is yet to come. Have no fear - just list it with the rest of our historical charades.

What about the other 99%?

In every country, the numbers of people who sadly die every year from various causes is 1% of the population - thought you would have known that.

I didn't know that because every country has a different mortality rate.
I do know that the global average has been less than 1% and falling since 1984.

Sealevel rise of a good 6" in the last 100 years (half of that in just the last 25 years) would suggest that Climate Change is all too real.

It's risen everywhere, including here, because the Worlds seas are all connected. When an Antarctic ice-shelf collapses or another chunk of glacier falls into the Arctic Ocean, it affects everyone equally, no matter how far away they live from it.

Glaciers are constantly moving, melting and rebuilding - this has been happening all through history. Some of the melted glaciers have revealed signs of vegetation under them - how would that have got there if he glacier had remained in situ? Some of those now melting are on top of old volcanoes - that would make me rather nervous and I would be moving somewhere clear of those hotspots.
Glaciers are huge masses of thick ice. These masses are fresh water ice which lie on land. The mass of the ice pushes the land mass down and as the ice melts the land begins to rise again because the weight reduces. As fresh water enters into the salt water of the oceans, fresh water is lighter than salt water - it floats on the underlying salt water until eddies and currents cause it to mix.
These glaciers were formed originally from primordial magmas, ( very ancient hot gases) the water from which cooled as the Earth cooled and formed our oceans as they are today. The water cycle occurs all over the world creating rain, storms, ice and snow. It is the water from these oceans that cools and forms into ice and snow.
A glacier is made up of the water which has always existed on our planet. It melts and it freezes continuously. The ice does not just come from nowhere - it has always been on the planet in various forms.
Will it cause the sea to rise? This is very doubtful because there are other properties of melting ice which have to be taken into consideration, including being subjected to heat. Constant heat on water causes evaporation, which in the case of the oceans - results in greater cloud cover. Greater cloud cover reduces the amount of solar heat and the melting process may never be fully achieved.
Glacier activity has never been thoroughly researched so really there is insufficient information on them to feed into a computer program by which to create a computer simulation. It is these simulations upon which many scientific forecasts are based at present. Therefore,Climate Warming based on glaciers would be flawed.
Don't let it worry you - there is far more CO2 contained in the oceans than man could ever make in thousands of years, and the human race would die out without CO2.

A) True to a point. More water is always being added, as it continues to arrive (e.g. via meteorites) from space. Which after all, is where every drop originated....It's an amusing thought, that the water in your next pint of beer will also have passed through the guts of a dinosaur or two.
B) Sealevel is accurately monitored by nations around the globe. There is a measurable and accelerating rise, not only from icemelt, but also due to the fact that water expands as it warms.
C) The increased level of CO2 in seawater is responsible for acidification of the seas. Which in turn is causing corals to dissolve, damaging entire reefs.
