This bit made me laugh.
"Sweden’s Ikea, which is the world’s largest furniture retailer, said it had not knowingly advertised on GB News.
In a statement Ikea said: “We have safeguards in place to prevent our advertising from appearing on platforms that are not in line with our humanistic values. We are in the process of investigating how this may have occurred to ensure it won’t happen again in future, and have suspended paid display advertising in the meantime.”

I dipped in out of curiosity. Dipped back out.
Hard right and poor production values considering the backing they've got. Matthew Elliott looming large yet again.
If Farage had dreamt up a TV channel, this would have been it.
Nothing wrong with it if that's your thing. If most of your conversations at the 19th hole begin 'I know what I'd do to them...' then this is the channel for you. Or you've been trained to be triggered at words like 'woke' or 'snowflake'.
Amateur too. No presenter worth their salt would ever read out a message from 'Mike Hunt' or 'Mike Oxlong', surely?
But hey, we all like a channel that suits our tastes. If anyone's is 'gammon', then give it a go. Representation for all, I say.

We are not the only curious ones.
I guess the reasoning is allowing free speech and free retort.
The BBC shows equal side view that is true though in the thrall of backlash from the left (whose support it needs to stay alive under a Tory Gov) is somewhat sanitised.
Andrew Neil and team are offereing free speech with the right of counter without the BBC constraints.

One of the stated aims of GB News is to expose cancel culture as a free speech threat. No sooner does it start broadcasting but woke pressure group Stop Funding Hate starts targeting any businesses who have run ads on GB News. Point proven already.
I haven't watched any GB News output yet, but if I do, I doubt I'll be seeing a parade of hate preachers.
I look forward with interest to the next time any of the many lefties I know again complain to me that the BBC is too right-wing!

I find the format and transmission problems bit distracting.
Sound system is sometimes poor.
We are giving it a few weeks anyway.
I expect we shall end up tuning in for 'special guest' interviews.
Also curious to see any 'Far Left' guest interviews and of course the
camera happy Labourites like Nandy and Phillips.

Watched it for 10 mins the other lunchtime.
"Woke agenda" was the first thing I heard from the businessman being interviewed.
Presenters looked out of their depth even reading the autocue.
Regional presenters seem fresh out of university and it all seemed a bit disorganised. " We now go to our South East correspondent who's in Coventry" None of the regional reporters seemed to be actually reporting on anything, it was just a chat with the studio. "we've had the news that nightclubs must stay closed for another 4 weeks, so here i am stood outside a closed nightclub" which would have been closed at lunchtime anyway. No interview with the owner or anyone
Even the weather man seemed to be a default mood of looking angry.

I've dipped in at different times of the day but didn't last long each time..... very poor production values and amateurish presenting. Was it just my ears or was the sound level fluctuating? I always try to get different viewpoints on a topic. I read the Telegraph. Guardian and Independent and sometimes The Mail, also the Washington Post, LA Times but don't really watch much TV news apart from headlines but I will see how GB News develops and drop in now and again probably.

I'm enjoying the channel so far. Where is the far right opinion or the hate everyone is claiming?
A few teething problems for sure, but I remember the same sort of things for Channel 4, Sky and Channel 5 when they started.

I have watched it a couple of times, for short periods, but found niggling technical problems to be a distraction.
Nevertheless, I do have a great respect for Andrew Neil and solidly support what he is trying to do here by setting up a news channel without political leaning.
I feel that it is a monotonous shame that tribal politics has to creep into every aspect of our lives and sours relationships that could otherwise be based on friendship and understanding.
The BBC is undoubtedly politically biased, as is all our printed press (including the Southport Visiter). Any accusations that GB News is right wing is probably based on the fact that it does not conform to the same leanings that we are used to with the BBC.
I cannot see, for the life of me, why criticising "wokeness" should be considered left or right wing. I would have thought that common sense was the biggest factor here and hopefully that should be something that isn't unique to one side of the political debate.

It's a job for London's media junkies (including former MPs) and presumably extra pocket money for politicians and others who appear as guest commentators.
There was an abundance of 'rolling news ' television before this. How much becomes too much? When do we reach saturation?
It has been trailed as an antidote to broadcast media bias — especially from our Marmite national broadcaster.
GB News will measure of the amount of bile in the UK's body politic.

I have watched it and found it a bit amateurish so far.
It's limp not as portrayed in the other media.
