Pictured yesterday, the empty Jewson premises opposite Lidl and the two empty properties on the Hattersley Retail Park which could easily be knocked into one after Halfords left for Aintree in February.

I'm not going to be shouted down from giving my views and challenging the racism and sexism which rear their ugly head on QLocal from time to time, not forgetting the invasions of privacy, obsessive criticism of the Champion and Advertiser, promotion of anti-lockdown / anti-vaxx materials, and things that are just made up and passed off as 'news' to generate clicks to this site.

It's a real shame because there is a genuine gap in the market for considered, quality online journalism covering Ormskirk and the surrounding area.

The irony of the first paragraph is inescapable. Ormskirk Res has a very valid point. Start your own contribution. If you are as good as you appear to think you are then you will bury Qlocal, the Advertiser and the Champion. With them out of the way you will be R sole news source.
Me thinks you posted zyzzyva a little early. Not averse to a bit of plagiarism yourself it seems.

The original article says Aldi are looking for sites able to house a 20,000 sq ft store (just over 1850 square metres). Their current Ormskirk site for reference is 1350 square metres.

The Jewson building is arond 1550 m² - too small
The old Halfords and Poundworld units knocked together are only 1150 m² - even smaller than the current store!

If you really want to stir up some rumours why not suggest the Toby Carvery site at the Five Ways (1.8 acres) or Park Pool (also 1.8 acres).
