I can't think of any town centre licensed premises that do have car parking. Probably a good thing. Although there is a car park at Iceland all of 60 metres away.

And how have you come to that conclusion from an article that doesn't mention music anywhere?

It is not just about statutory regulations.
People thought Grenfell tower was safe.
At the Bradford football ground fire many people died because they tried to exit using the route they used to enter the ground. People do not always act logically in an emergency situation.
The wooden posts on the coastal road are potentially fatal for motorcyclists. I have been in touch with local councilors about this matter, and they in turn have been in contact with the highways department. No risk assessment in respect of motorcyclists was carried out when the posts were originally installed or prior to their recent replacement. The council are not planning on reviewing this situation.

None of which bears any relation to the point you made about 1 exit from the market now being smaller. Do you think the exits are inadequate?
Grenfell cladding - the market doesn't have cladding
Bradford fire - people died trying to get out of exit gates that were locked, misguidedly to stop people getting into the ground with out paying via the turnstiles. The market is a free to enter venue where people will be entering and exiting through the same doors during opening hours so they're not going to be locked while people are in there!
Highway safety has nothing to do with a building.

There's the exit into Market Street and unless they've altered the exterior there are folding doors almost the full length of that side too. There's a fire exit into the alleyway between the old Macdonalds and probably a fire exit at the back into the yard.

The design of Glenfell Tower was approved.
People do not behave logically in an emergency. Many of those killed at the Bradford fire died because they tried to use their entry route as their exit route, ignoring other routes and the safety of the pitch.
The wooden posts on the Coastal Roads are potentially fatal to motorcyclists, but Sefton will do nothing about them even though the accept that no risk assessment was done.
I hope that you are proven correct and that in an emergency visitors to the food hall will behave calmly & logically and use the nearest emergency exit. After all "What could possibly go wrong?"

They died because they headed for the exits from the stand which were all at the back of the stand but which were found to be locked shut when they should not have been. The exits were right next to the turnstiles built into the same wall. . The entry route was the exit route.
Escaping onto the pitch would have saved many of them but that was not the logical route due to the design of the stand meaning they would have had to climb over up to 3 barriers to get onto the pitch depending on where they were sat. Some of those who did manage to escape onto the pitch were on fire by the time they got there so it's understandable that many, particularly the elderly, made the logical choice to head for the actual exits.
There were no other routes of escape other than those.
If you were sat at the back of this edifice in the gloom with smoke starting to billow around you would you head for the street level exits that are right behind you that you'd used in every visit to the same ground or would you try and climb over the 3 walls in front of you that have no emergency gates in them? The perimeter wall being 5 feet high. The back row of seats was at street level so escape would seem closer than heading for the pitch
The market has exits on all 4 sides which won't be locked when it's open for customers.

You’re confused?
They appear to be gates. It’s a simple concept. You open them when you want people to come in, then close them when you don’t want people to come in. A bit like doors but these are metal and look quite fancy.

Confused by gates? Bloody hell, don't leave the house without a carer.
