England V Germany
Great news for all those footy fans, we actually won.
And who would bet against Boris making some wisecrack to Merkel and Macron.

It was good to watch England beat Germany in a competitive match again, after so many years. Having said that it lacked excitement and I got the impression that, on that showing, both teams would have struggled to overcome a decent Championship team.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

The reality is the game has got much tighter and players have improved especially their fitness.

Nearly 2000 new Covid cases In Scotland linked to fans travelling to Euro 2020 fixtures.
Of the 1991 cases registered by Public Health Scotland, two thirds said they had traveled to London to watch England vs Scotland on 18th June.
Who ever would have thought it?

I haven't watched a complete match for years, but when I see players on TV in training they remind me of ballet dancers
. There are no big boot ,hard tackle Arthur Peats any more.

They wouldn't last long under todays rules - the likes of Billy Bremner and Roy Keane etc would be red carded before half time

The string of “hard” men defenders who wouldn’t be on the pitch for half a match is endless.

Less than 400 of them actually attended the match and almost 1300 were in 'transmission period' when travelling - already infected.

It was a great win but the crowds was ridiculous, with the high rate of Covid cases now in uk how could they let that many fans in

The problem isn’t so much when you are going to the game or even inside the stadium, it’s when the match ends and they all pile onto the tube at the same time.

Football's boring but I have to admit getting a bit caught up in the atmosphere of that match. The downside of England's victory is that they're now eligible to play another match, which I'll be expected to watch!
