I have known a couple of men of the older generation that at first glance may be described as effeminate but in reality we’re just very nice gentle men with a nice personality, one in particular was brought up with sisters and could knit, he was kind and gracious and well liked by many he was far from gay and would be deeply offended if you were to call him that.
So effeminate doesn’t always mean gay, some women and gay men like the theatrics of a gay sparkly eyed personality and most men like lesbians that’s a fact, for me it fits well in comedy, are you being served just wouldn’t have a storyline without John Inman and Larry Grayson and graham Norton just wouldn’t have an act and for all my perceived hatred of prancing gays I do actually like the comedy of Julian clary and Hugh jelly so in comedy it’s ok, like laughing at death it’s there there’s nothing you can do about it, it’s shockingly funny when it’s not sad.

Yea effeminate men are not automatically gay, some are just very nice well mannered gentle men, if they are effeminate and also gay that’s just gay but effeminate on its own is another thing, some gentlemen can be gentle men . It's OK to be gay. It's not OK if you haven't sufficient self control that you actually try not to stare at a woman's breasts but fail. You've never heard the words 'my eyes are up here'? We don't like men staring at our breasts. We like it even less if men have no self control.

That makes us extremely uncomfortable. And not the words any woman wants to read this week, especially. 'Try our hardest but never manage it'? Get a grip.

So the nitty gritty is effeminate is alright, as long as YOU don't imagine them having oral or anal sex. Because that's not what straight people do. And I'm guessing you simply can't control yourself when it comes to thinking about that.

Second: you really have problems. Homophobe. No control. See every gay man as some mincing 70s comedy character.

How do you feel if you find out a regular looking, sounding bloke is gay? Do you instantly have his pants off, sodomising happily away in your mind? Feel cheated you didn't have a chance to imagine what he does in his sex life? Or relieved he's not effeminate? But then think about his sex like?

No I can’t control my eyes in the context outlined and if I see a gay parade or am aware that a man is homosexual it brings to my attention that men have sex with each other and yes just the word homosexual conjures up this notion in the same way that saying basket of kittens makes you right now sat there reading this think about a basket of kittens.
