Ive not been here for a while but as soon as I come back all I see is you trying to draw an arguement from PNP, who as always remains polite. You seem to have the intellect of a child. Out of curiosity can I ask how old you are?

Perhaps if you went back through the posts you would understand that PNP is accusing me of both lying and hypocrisy.

His passive-aggressive posts may well get over your intellectual browline.

I and many others have seen through it and beyond it and they don't.

He preaches only what suits himself and practices a polluting and damaging lifestyle by his own admission.

As to my age, old enough to see through rank hypocrisy like it appears many others.

I have heard all sorts of reasons why there is coal on our beach including it occurs naturally, I remember one chap used to go out all the time from Ainsdale ( pontins ) pushing a bike, he used to fill a couple of big sacks and wheel them back on his bike. I have seen sea coal burn it spits, think it’s the salt.

I collected coal on Ainsdale beach in the 1980,s lots of it.Usually more plentiful after rough seas.Filled a ford Escort boot once in about 30 min.

That's right, I only mentioned Ainsdale etc, after it was clear that the person I''d been told about was not 'local'. Therefore I in no way compromised the real 'locals' location or anything else about him. I was however given further info about the coal-picking person from Ainsdale who is not 'local', not it has any further relevance on here.

Btw, I 'go quiet' when on the job daily. Generally am done by around five-ish (if I'm lucky!).

According to a chap I was talking to today, who has picked it himself. The best times for seacoal, are after rough weather /a Southwesterly gale. Presumably the wind blows it ashore as coal I think has positive buoyancy.

Beach coal must have been a godsend for many with coal rationing in WW2 and after.

That's true. There were larger pieces then, too. Mind you, that was when it was safe to walk across the beach.

Erm...

I still don't know what to believe.....On the one hand, a chap in Ainsdale that I've known for a good forty years, tells me categorically that 'local picks coal on the beach'. On the other is 'local', who at first denies doing so outright, then when challenged changes his story to; well it was only one piece and I threw it away afterwards.

I'll let your 'Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)' smilies battle it out ( vs )...lol.
