It shouldn't be happening at all, that's the real tragedy of it......Too many welcoming arms on this side and too many blind eyes turned on the other side imo.

Surely it's high time to take the bull by the horns - and put a stop to this pantomime before even more migrants come unstuck. It should be mandatory to apply for (and gain) asylum before entering the UK. None who land should be granted asylum, but instead be returned to whichever countries shores they set sail from forthwith. Do that, and rubber boat sales will plummet.
