Southport FC
Since Clapham left Southport we have gotten even worse, I’m not saying things should of stayed the same because we did need some change but the people at our club now are not doing anything and we sit rock bottom of The National North table. We are heading further down the footballing pyramid without a trace. What must Clapham be thinking now.
We desperately need something to change as we have become an embarrassment as a club, the fans and town deserve more.

Have to agree to a certain extent, but are you forgetting that we are coming out of a world

Why does the town deserve more?
99% of the town don't support its football club so i dont see why the club owes those people anything.
600 at the last home game. The town gets the club it deserves with that level of support.

What a great attitude to the town and club you have, I wonder if Barrow and Harrogate thought the same, look where they are now, as for 600 at the last home game, no wonder there was so few many people, the club is in dire straits, I know we are in a pandemic but when Phil left I could see this was the way we was heading. We all wanted Clapham out, well most did, and now we are worse off.

It’s a circular argument, if people don’t like the facilities or what they see, they don’t come, without supporters the club has little income, with little income the club can only do so much.
Like it or not economics control football clubs just as much as any other enterprise or facility.

I've supported them for 40 years. Seen them play at over 100 different grounds.
The club has my whole hearted support.
Don't see why an apathetic town deserves a succesful club though.

To be honest Southport FC have made all the excuses over the years, the fans also. I know we are in a pandemic and clubs have gone under but there are clubs like Barrow, Harrogate who have thrived, and well done to them. We need investment and a new manager and assistant, Ian Kyle can’t do it on his own.

I know loads of people who have stopped going to watch Southport, I think the fans have been let down by Phil going and leaving the club in the hands of Ian Kyle, which is hard for Ian on his own.
The problem is the clubs reputation has been damage by this. We need a vision for this football club, one that can be achieved with the right people in charge, meaning Liam Watson needs to step down as manager and get someone in who has experience in this league and above, someone who has good contact too.
Clapham left and we thought we had been saved by Phil coming in but that didn’t last long unfortunately and it hit us hard, we need more investment and it is out their as seen with other football clubs during the pandemic.

Bootle are two divisions below Southport.
Bury have had to start up again at level 10.
Bradford Park Avenue are in the same division as Southport.
Aldershot are in the division above Southport.

Ian Kyle hasn’t got the funds to run Southport FC on his own, he needs help, our club is in chaos and in need of financial help.
I am doubtful we will avoid relegation this season, we are not good enough, just look how more we have fallen in a small matter of years after Clapham left.

Let’s hope Someone gets on board and injects money into Southport because without help Ian Kyle has no chance to improve Southport.
