PNP - You are the cycling fraternity equivalent of Liam Norton for Insulate Britain. Doing them no favours whatsoever. We all see the benefits of good causes but it is completely undermined when it's spearheaded by someone so unlikable.

    B) Personally, I've never equated cycling with politics. But just as with Brexit, there's always some who will do. To me, it's more about what makes the most sense. Instead of choking towns to death with motor vehicles, I recognise that there are alternatives which are better for our health and our environment.
Once again you just don't get it do you? Motorists have never wanted all the tarmac to themselves, but it seems in your distorted cycling utopia you want to have exclusive dedicated cycle lanes for the very few cyclists who ride into town. You don't even use the ones already provided.

Bikes with number plates so you can be traced and accountable for your riding should an incident occur and hefty fines for NOT using cycle lanes when provided! You can't have it all with responsibility and accountability.

Where did I equate cycling to politics? I was remarking on Mr Hovden's report that in my view it was unbalanced, in favour of the Labour party and against the Conservatives.

What's to like? At least I practice what I preach - clocking up around 4,000km per year in the saddle!

N.B. As I said earlier, this consultation should have gone out in hardcopy form to those who live along the route/s. Encouraging all and sundry to reply on-line, will always attract the anti-cycling brigade!

Idiot! It's not just the people who live on the road that use the road, motorists and cyclists included.

And you only want pro-cycling responses?

We all use ALL the roads so we should ALL have a say in it.

Yes like the library!! And how many people went in there and completed the consultation?

I hope you're not trying to suggest I had something to do with more than one survey being completed?

I've no idea but the council will know because it's their building.

Again I don't know but I wouldn't put it past you.

Either way 19 identical responses to every question from the same IP address is plainly someone trying to influence the result in their favour.

Rather like the Tories and their "Anti Cyle Lane" Facebook group where dissenting members are banned claiming 600 people are indicative of the majority of a population of 90,000

So you'd be happy to let residents who live elsewhere, decide the fate of your own road if the outcome adversely affected your quality of life?

Yes, all use the roads. But not all do so in the manner they want....Many erstwhile cyclists use other means, usually the car. They do this because when they try to cycle, they discover they are not provided for and soon decide that riding in traffic is not for them - or their kids.

I mean, what are the chances of survival for say a 5year old pupil, making a right turn at a busy traffic-light junction at peak time? Imagine some little guy/girl sat in the middle of that junction, with unforgiving traffic whizzing past them in both directions at 30mph. Their tiny right arm stuck out, hoping for a gap in oncoming traffic to make their turn.

I'm amazed anyone can think situations like that are acceptable. Which is precisely why local roads become clogged twice every weekday with 'school runners'. The poor kids lose out on fresh air and exercise, whilst parents are pinned down twice a day, having to schedule the school runs into their busy routine.

Oh come on! Who in their right mind would want to see a wobbly small 5yo on the road trying to turn right at a junction? They would quite rightly be cycling on the pavement with their parent looking after them.

A 5yo would have just started school so their parents would come and collect them.

If I saw that I'd be alarmed that their parent(s) were not looking after them. I doubt I'd see a 5yo out on their own walking, never mind cycling!

Even when trying to give a cycling example you can't seem to get it correct!

    That's just stupid.

Well, you’ve come out with some crap over the years, but this post takes your stupidly to a whole new level.
