And for goodness sake, who nowadays still uses the word, "trollop"!
I blame Boris,
could that be why things are so acrimonious between them.

I don't usually comment on mis-spellings but I feel I should mention that you've misspelt trollop - instead, and somewhat ironically, you've used the spelling of a surname associated with a couple of famous novelists: such as Joanna Trollope!

Oh no, sorry, yes I have. On every political thread.
One shade of red but 50 shades of blue.
Not happening. If all things left are 'far left' 'strongly opposing free enterprise' and obviously aren't distinguishable from Communism, obviously anything right equates to fascism.
Get used to it, Mussolini, apparently it's the accepted language round here.
Once again:

Really? If you're not on the left or you're not progressive or progressive enough then you're a Nazi - that's been a common logic and / or argument strategy for many, many years. Even those on the right got in on the act. Even Jewish people get called Nazi.

I agree that Conservatism and Fascism, while related, are different.
But you expect the electorate to understand the difference between two related political ideologies? Many people aren't as interested in politics as you or me are.
As I said, one shade of red but 50 shades of blue.
Ridiculous. As a Socialist, I really don't like being associated with 'far left' or Communist. But horror of horrors, don't say the same about the right.
Because on the right, things are very very very different. Right?
Daily Mail comments section echo chamber. All left is far left. Unmarried mothers are 'trollopes'. A left wing politician should NOT expect to earn any money (or should she then share it with the rest of the comrades?) and Labour strongly opposes free enterprise.
Horse crap. No wonder we've got the government we've got. Soaking up the propaganda like a sponge. Another total waste of time trying to discuss anything with tribalists and zealots.
Over and out. I've got to read the next chapter of the Little Red Book.

Well, I'm certainly aware you're not Communist nor would be flourishing "the Bible of the far, far, far, far left..." as columnist Jonathon Jones put it in the first Guardian article I linked in my post #62 above.
I also agree that the Daily Mail comments section echo chamber is a grim place chock full of the Neanderthal right. Depressing. The Mail itself does seem to have become more critical of the Tories, over the last couple of years, perhaps. It's the Express that's unflinchingly pro-Tory.

Ha! I feel people do generally understand that just because someone isn't espousing a leftist or progressive point of view that that person isn't a Nazi - but it's often a go-to remark that people still make anyway. People don't have to have an interest in politics to yet still know all about the Nazis, do they?!
For obvious reasons, people in the UK have a far more comprehensive knowledge of the crimes against humanity of Hitler and the Nazis, then they do the crimes against humanity of Stalin and of Mao.
And an awareness of the evil of the Nazis is kept alive in the popular consciousness by different means, for example by countless Hollywood movies and tv series in which Nazis are the villains and a byword for unredeemable wickedness and evil.
As I say, even the right-wing started calling people Nazis. Even Jewish people get called Nazis. Depressing.

From what I have read in the Mail today she likes them married.
A bit of a surprise from someone who could not wait to criticise Matt Hancock.

Try and get out more. Your desperate need to start some kind of exchange with anyone that will listen to your interminably dreary jibes about anything that isn't this government, or Dear Donald, is topping Said as the forum crank.
In fact, I'd say you've easily surpassed him / her / them.
How can you of all people criticise anyone? Look in the mirror and what do you see in your inner self. Don't feel depressed about it - just improve yourself. I would sooner read unintentional spelling mistakes as opposed to intentional personal abuse.

So with all your political knowledge, would you say the British are a superior race then? Or do you see the present day events, that of a declining power?
