B) Not so....Only way I can retire to France now, would be by falsifying my accounts to make it appear I have an income way bigger than it actually is.

I had a plan to set up a part-time bike-hire business, not claim benefits. Even without doing that, I would still have had enough pension and savings to get by ok. Now though, without the possibility of buying a place legally, I would have to live permanently in a motorhome as an 'illegal' - and hope the authorities didn't catch up with me.

Whichever route I may take, to retire to a warmer and sunnier spot inside the EU, Brexit will add expense and complication. By making it necessary to fool and/or hide from the authorities, not to mention losing out on free reciprocal healthcare.

I'll chip in a postage stamp for resale. It's important the PNP makes room in the dingy rubber dinghy for plenty of anti-tan product, as obviously he would want to avoid the trauma of looking dark-faced on arrival and then potentially having to face people who hold the same attitudes as he does to 'dark' people. The good news is that the PNP loves a fun unofficial route (at least when it comes to cycles) and that he'd also potentially be avoiding the trauma of those pranksters who staff passport controls.

I don't mind a few million Pakistanis, a few million Poles, a few million of whatever else comes our way. But I do balk, when one particular group never stops coming and/or procreating, to the point where the character of our Country, if not the Country itself, threatens to be 'taken over' somewhere down the line.

I do however, have issues with people who decide to come here above anywhere else, then don't make any effort to fit in/become English.....E.g. by continuing to speak in an unintelligible language, carry out genital mutilation, go in for forced marriages and 'honour killings', don't adopt 'western' dress, etc.

A wall-poster I spotted in Wales, which obviously targeted 'immigrants' to Wales, also voiced my opinion of immigrants pretty well. It read: 'Assimilation not colonisation'.....The many 'foreign' neighbourhoods we have in our country, are invariably populated by one particular non-assimilating type. Perhaps that's their unspoken goal - 'colonisation' by stealth!

And I suppose the fact that somewhere like Blackburn, with a particularly large immigrant population (where 'illegals' can blend in) also has the highest number of Covid cases in the Uk is pure coincidence?

Let's face it, at 1,200 a day (as per Fridays arrivals), that's going to equal around 30,000,000 over the next hundred years. There clearly isn't room for them here in the long run. Imo, bigger EU States that have more room, would be a better place for foreign migrants to settle.

There is no doubt, that it would have been preferable, for the European powers to have never entered Africa....By leaving the 'natives' to continue living their low-tech sustainable, straw hut, loincloth and spear lifestyle - the world and the environment would have been better off.

If they had no knowledge of life outside their own piece of jungle, they would surely have continued to live as they always had.

I was trying to say that native populations living eco-friendly jungle lifestyles were/are better for the planet, than 'westernised' populations. Because thanks to our interference in their countries, they now drive/aspire to drive cars and trucks, buy tv's, consume western products, generate plastic waste etc, and therefore emit CO2. Also, that if they had never seen a whiteman or been told that Europe existed, they wouldn't all be trying to get here now!

For hundreds of thousands of years, they were happy enough, living in their traditional manner. Then 'Bwana' shows up with his missionaries and high-carbon western ways - and presto the whole thing goes downhill.....Now, when they're not trekking across the desert to reach the Mediterranean and set sail for Europe in unseaworthy boats, they're shooting each other with AK47's, etc.

Let's put it this way, EU'ers will dress much the same, i.e. trousers, shirt, raincoat, occasional hat/cap, etc. Yes, I'm generalising here, but feel sure you know what I mean....Whereas non-EU'ers may be seen wearing garb that is perhaps more commonplace in a town like Kabul. E.g. full-length robes, headgear with only a horizontal front slit in it, etc.

I've also noticed that non EU'ers frequently reside in specific areas, which can end up giving a place the appearance of a 'ghetto'. Whereas EU'ers who came to live here, were more commonly to be found well dispersed. To sum up, EU'ers tended to integrate and made an attempt to blend in. Whereas, some of these non-EU'ers we're getting now, seem to take it upon themselves to stand out.

Yes, it does appear that immigrant groups often go in for large families....Which in turn necessitates them to buy large passenger-capacity cars.

Maybe they are simply in the habit of going in for large-scale adoptions?

Or that a big 'brood' equals big benefit handouts!

I don't believe all immigrants accept 'the English' at all, not by a long chalk. Because we don't cow-tow to their peculiar way of thinking, they may even consider us to be 'infidels' or some such thing.

As for 'one rule for all'. The way things are going, with more of 'them' always arriving, coupled to what is probably a high birth-rate.....How long before they are in the majority, take control of Parliament - and declare Britain to be a sharia State or something?

It's not as if something along those lies hasn't happened to a country before, and within living memory at that.....Incoming migrant 'refugees', once in the majority, not only took over a government, they changed the very name of the country, its currency and language too. Not to mention hogging all the best bits, whilst ethnically cleansing the existing indigenous population to the periphery, or kicking them out altogether!

I've no big problem with people wearing outlandish garb per se. Even to the extent of males dressing as females, or vice versa - each to his own is fine by me......What does though seem out of place, is the way whole areas end up looking like parts of the Middle East.

Should be good for a laugh.....maybe get hold of some darkish makeup and practice a few Afghani words, just to add to the effect.

The last single daily tally of rubber-boaters I heard reported, was 1,200. It doesn't take an Einstein to work out that's roughly 300,000 per year, or 3,000,000 every ten years. At the present rate, we'll be looking at around 30million extra foreign bods within a century.

A figure which doesn't even take account of the inevitable extra pressure to migrate, due to rising future sealevels flooding lowlying swathes of the developing world. They will doubtless demand entry, on the basis of: 'well it was your country who put all the CO2 up there in the Industrial Revolution. So now we're all flooded out, you can jolly well let us in and look after us!'
