As many of you will have seen, construction on the new Southport Lifeboat Station has almost been completed.
The new building, which has been paid for by your donations, will house all of the equipment used by our organisation, which is completely independent from the RNLI.
Whilst we are waiting for the finishing touches, we'd like to share with you some images from inside our new home.
Flick through the images attached to find out more about each room inside the new Lifeboat Station, and how it will help our volunteers save lives in the local area.
As we wait to move in, we are now asking for your help with donations to furnish our Lifeboat Station, details of how to donate to us can be found on our website, www.southport-lifeboat.org.uk

Local, 1 questionable!
No wonder this site is a thing of the past. No one will put news for fear of being slated. Still, better than OTS who haven't published article.

I hope it has been built with security of all the quads and stuff in mind. The thieves will certainly come a calling so no cheap padlocks.

If this site is a thing of the past what are you doing on it commenting?, anyway there’s nothing sly or bad to say about a building and volunteer service that us local folk can all be proud of and nobody on here takes any notice of the one or few that chase people around threads trolling them and poo pooing them for any and every comment they dare to make if they disagree with them. OTS was a spin off from Qlocal and will always be in its shadow . You might be a thing of the past since your last post was in may 2016.

Oh I'm very supportive of this new lifeboat station but I'd describe it as modern and functional rather than stunning.

Well Done! A fantastic achievement - eventually. I was beginning to think it was going to be a Barbie house for ever. I hope it is well secured. I can help - I am well experienced in GPS (Well, I know the direction of North, anyway)Will there be an opening party?
