Too late to reverse much of the damage done to cricket, at national and county level and the fortunes of Yorkshire CC.
Saying you're a "different person now", as he has, is just rubbing salt into the wound - it was the same for the majority of others back in time.

If you had any idea or conception of what this and similar stories in recent weeks and months are about, you wouldn't ask such a crass question.

It’s all mad from start to finish, with him, banter , the P word, different folk crying racist abuse from 10 yrs ago, maybe there’s no news stories around and he needs a few quid.

Sorry to be clear I meant he is selling his story how he was racially abused and another story apologising for racially abusing someone else, in this context I meant that him and he was one in the same Mr Rafiq. And by selling his stories I mean getting paid for the stories by the press .

My initial feeling when this all started was how long will his ( Mr Rafiq ) career last and is he highlighting the obvious so as to squeeze the last few pennies before his career ends and the money stops. Although racist abuse is not welcome in any sport it’s known that it does occur and so does banter and although the two can often use the same phrases the intent can be very different. Now I am no expert in sports but I would like to think your race or religion shouldn’t make any difference and it’s your skill alone that will carry you forward and highlighting racial abuse is right and proper and I have been watching this man ( Mr Rafiq ) talk in front of investigators and the feel I get is it’s a last cash thing .. or maybe I am wrong maybe his career will go on forever he is 30 I don’t really know how long cricketers last .

Your belief that Rafiq is being "...paid for selling his stories.." is absolutely and utterly without truth or foundation.

Rafiq has asked the Jewish community to accept his "humble apologies" for his previous racism with the claim that he is a better person today. Why then is he not prepared to accept the apologies of the cricketing community for their past racist banter, without broadcasting the whole sordid story via the media, unless it is for some financial gain? He is clearly the worst kind of hypocrite.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!
