It's all about management, everyone going into lockdown has created so many problems and continual restrictions create bigger problems with compliance.
Eventually, the natives will get restless if we keep them suppressed.

Well I hadn't given up hope on normal circumstances returning.
The thread is, after all, about the Liveable Neighbourhood and the need to reduce car usage for the long term good of the planet.
The current abnormal circumstances will hopefully be a blink of an eye compared to the remaining lifespan of the human race
So do i need to wear a mask tomorrow in this "tighening of rules" "from next week"? The week does start on a Sunday after all but the announcements seem vague.

Not just gullible, but stupid.
Let's hope if these violent protesters get badly hurt, they'll refuse to go to a hospital where all those medical professionals are lying to them.
Mass Darwin Awards. Less anti-vaxxers. Happy days.

I share that hope. I daresay we all do.
Thread's don't always stay on a designated course. And the first mention of "trains" happened in post #6...

18 months of abnormal circumstances -as in the ongoing pandemic- and counting. Anyone who's heard the news of the Omicron variant development over the last few days or so wouldn't dismiss the ongoing pandemic. Or maybe, with strange timing, they still would.

You've questioned the mental health of commuters who use cars instead of trains and have observed that there's little danger in sitting for a prolonged period in the cramped conditions of a train compartment comprised of mainly maskless strangers, so I'm confident that that you'll not be too troubled by whatever requirements are introduced.
Is it "salus.populi" as in "Salus populi suprema lex" regarding the priority of the health of the people?
Does a pandemic enter into considerations regards the health of the people or is that to be dismissed in favour of climate change considerations?

Streets that are blocked halfway along, are shown with a thin black line across them, indicating where the road is cut in two. Might be a plan for emergency services to also revert to an A to Z, until their sat-navs become more reliable.
As expected MORE tripe have you got the publishing date for new A to Z maps. Have you got the dates for Sat Nav upgrades showing this lunacy.
If you happen to read anything posted other than by you it says RESIDENTS(the people who actually live in these areas not some dumb ar5ed idiot like you) are complaining and want the blockage removed because of these Emergency situations.
Why don't you go down to Manchester and tell the residents how lucky they are especially the ones who may have lost family that although help will be longer reaching them it is better for them.

The article referred to emergency vehicles making 'u'-turns, i.e. that they'd turned into a street without realising the street was blocked further up......In other words, had blindly followed a dumb-*** sat-nav, rather than looked where they were going. Because, had they bothered to look where they were going, they wouldn't have missed the 'T'-signs (cul-de-sac)!
Btw, A to Z's are easily updated manually, simply by drawing in a black line across any 'blocked' roads. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it would be as simple for users to modify their sat-nav's.

Usually very simple by downloading updates over the Internet......
Bit like someone who posts regularly in this forum...
