This is the aftermath of a crash on the M58 near Bickerstaffe yesterday morning with a driver having a lucky escape after his car ended up in a copse near J3.
Chris Lynham, from the busy Highways England press office, told QLocal: "We attended a one-vehicle incident on the M58 between junctions 1 and 3.
"The car left the carriageway and went through a fence. The occupant(s) abandoned the vehicle.
"We then recovered the car.
"Police were also in attendance."
*Our thanks to Dorah Bella of Skem. for the tip off.

That's interesting that fence was like that on 2nd January. And I don't see the sense of endangering yourself on a motorway hard shoulder just to inform people of trvial things

Quoted from the RAC's website: "Pulling over onto the hard shoulder is incredibly dangerous and could lead to the death or serious injury of you or your passengers if you or your car are struck by a fast-moving vehicle. According to Highways England, over 100 people are killed or injured on hard shoulders every year – so it should only be used as a last resort." It's not there Roger for you to park up in and take a few snaps for a non-story - irresponsible and dangerous.
