I think even you have to agree Rodney the Russian influence on government is a literal red herring.
It couldn't be better evidenced than by Putin targetting us and Zelensky praising Boris as world-leading in his support.
Wealthy Russians come/came here because they like it and the rule of law.
Putins henchmen chasing them here to kill them does not point to a favoured position for us.
We could of course go back to the man keeping quiet, Tony Blair a great friend of Putin.
Russian megalomania is widespread.
Ledbedev is very much ex....... and his open letter to Putin is not the work of a puppet.

But doing what he did after Putin launched a chemical attack on our soil is particularly sickening. OK, it was against one of Putin's own agents, but he could have wiped out thousands of Brits with that small bottle. Bunter actively slipped away from his own security to meet up with a KGB agent soon after. Tone-deaf and indulgent at best. At worse?
Put it this way, he's hardly patriot of the month.

Slipped off to see a KGB agent hmm so maybe the word ex might be at the very least pertinent.
Methinks the groupthink members have been watching some old films pre 1991 I suppose its FSB now.
It could of course be that Boris met his mate Evgeny Lebedev at his party, who owns the Evening Standard, The Independent who came here when he was eight even went to a comp,
And his dad Alexander was there.
Far better to go all Tinker tailor though.
The rather obvious point that the Lebedev's could have met with Boris under the railway clock in Paddington Stattion with a red rose quite often (saves all that traveling) doesn't of course sound so interesting as secret Italian Parties in Perugia.
It is amusing the way the blonde mist descends and distorts things for the slightly thick and gullible.
I was wondering if Ms Carole Cadawalladr had ghost written the story.
And the dumbo's that form the Labour Groupthink who are pushing the story claim they are ready to govern, really, you would put that lot in charge?
Of what pencils, toilet rolls,Spy Books, Larry the Cat.

It is Boris who suffers with the Blonde Mist descending, every time he sees one!

Can't claim any moral superiority
I am inspired to read some spy novels to try and second guess the next chapter as it is now alleged that Rishi is in contact with Dominic Cummings,
this is a plot twist I didn't spot "cumming"
Who needs the Russian red herring when there's an English rat

I note Johnson still thinks he is leader of the country, still babbling on about "HIS" mandate, does he not believe that he is actually busted, or is he just playing for time hoping that some divine intervention will keep him in the job.
In truth he should be packing right now, and get the hell out.

Seems the Fat Prick has blocked Labour's motion of no confidence from being debated: “That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty’s Government while the Rt Hon Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip remains Prime Minister.”
It certainly demonstrates that we are no longer living in a democracy, unless that 'democracy' is 1930s Germany. We are now 'governed' (yes, I know right?) by an elected dictatorship.
He should have been frog-marched out of there by now. That he hasn't, and is wielding the power of his now ex-office over Parliament, is very grave indeed. Starmer should request an audience with Her Maj.
On the other hand, it's quite useful to Labour, come the next election, to point out that the Tories have ripped up our democracy for their own ends. If there is an election. Not sure that they'd be happy about Labour having the same power that they have right now.

It's been clear you don't understand how Parliament works for a long time but why put it on here?
Another Blonde mist moment clouds thinking.
What will the groupthink do when he"s off stacking his bank account,
no wonder Carrie looked happy as he resigned.

Do tell us in what we he misunderstands Parliament.
I would enjoy your "thinking" and it would be a break from the hysterical abuse.
BTW the Johnson in Italy episode includes him being at the airport ( Milan I should think) ****** .
It all looks very much like an attempt to compromise him which he was stupid enough to fall for.
BTW Putin is an "ex-KGB agent".

Lebedev is also ex-KGB.
Sadly I still see Local's posts through quotes, and equally sadly the Forum Fückwit hasn't changed.
He clings to anything he sees as a little 'triumph' like a drowning man clutching at straws. In this case he thinks writing KGB rather than FSB is a point to cling to. Lebedev was in the foreign intelligence section of the KGB, then in the SVR. Not the FSB.
But cling to a point, then have a good old imagined sneer at it. Thus amplifying his ignorance. Classic. So patriotic, until it coms to his boyfriend Bunter.
Anyway, apart from the F-FW's drivel, it looks like PMQs should be interesting today.
Bunter blocking a vote of no confidence because he's 'resigned' is frankly ridiculous and will hopefully do him untold harm.
If he's 'resigned' he should not be able to block a vote. And quibbling about the wording? There was a precedent set in 64-65 when the Tories were granted a VONC against the PM, actually stating the PM was the reason. So it's a failure of democracy on both counts.
We do need a general election. This government manages to be both dangerous and ridiculous. Quite an achievement.

Honestly don't know if this is satire or not:
Shehab Khan ITV
@ShehabKhan
No10 has confirmed that the government is tabling a motion of confidence IN ITSELF.
It will be on Monday.

They are creating a motion worded so Tory MPs will have to vote for it.
