Well done Neil Young
Neil Young has told Spotify to take his material off their site as they continue to host Joe Rogan podcasts.
Young is small beer compared to Rogan...Spotify is paying $100m for his podcasts in which he spreads every manner of numbskull Covid stuff. Like invermectin.
I have a few Young tracks in my Spotify selection and will miss them but I applaud his action of principle.

More snowflake demands! There would be no mis-information if people practiced learning for themselves. Who are these wokes who need others to tell them what and how to think? Today's people are becoming more and more dumb. Next they will want people to feed them and change their nappies. What is happening to people?

I am glad you disapprove of people telling others what to think.
That's what Rogan is doing for 11 million people with his podcasts. Encouraging them, for example to use invermectin, a horse-wormer. It seems not to have crossed his what amounts to a mind that if the manufacturers of the product thought it might cure Covid, they'd be right there getting FDA approval for it? Like most of this sh*t it takes a couple of minutes of rational thought to blow a big hole in it.
Young, like me, thinks that if a lot of people (sadly) hang on what you say it brings with it some sense of responsibility.
Something you won't need to worry about.

I'm not a fan of cancel culture, whichever "side" is doing the cancelling. Joe Rogan and the people who believe his podcasts are complete morons in my view, but I think it dangerous to censor alternative views.
It is genuinely difficult to know where to draw the line, but to me the default position should be to allow people to make up their own minds.
Clearly there are limits, but one thing that the pandemic has taught us again is that literally nothing is a black and white issue. I could debate for hours the pros and cons of masks for example

Perhaps you could but not sure why. Every expert on the subject I have read or heard in the last few weeks was unanimous.
As for Rogan, Young is saying "I don't want to be there with him". It's funny how the free speech arguers don't extend to the people who use it to those who challenge back. By continuing on the same platform Young is giving him some kind of credibility and chooses not to do that.
Tell me , if a paedophile did a podcast advocating sex with children, would you support Spotify if they put it on their platform? After all a paedophile would rarely encourage behaviour which would cause the death of others, but that's what promoting invermectin would do.

Agreed. Whatever your views on cancel culture may be. When idiots like Rogan start giving out false and misleading advice, it’s dangerous. People will be gullible enough to believe him.

Rogan's not the only one milking this community for money or fame.

True - people should be encouraged to make up their own minds - but in the present day, few people can be bothered to become well-read, they prefer to be fed information and are happy to accept that without question.
As for the masks - anyone who has dry sanded a wall will know all about the inefficiency of masks for sure

I think people should drive on the right hand side of the road if they want to. Don't anyone dare disagree with me because I have a right to free speech.

Nope! You can say whatever you want to - there is no harm in that. Just don't expect people to obey you though.

That's the level of your grasp of what's involved. You think that's comparable.
Pathetic.
