Russia has no need for Nuclear weapons at present. To incorporate the use of Nuclear would be highly damaging to its own economy and it would not want that. Russia now has far superior weapons and armoury, as does China. Both have far more actual allies, while the USA has more diplomatic relations that cause a heavy drain on its economy.

Whilst I too am concerned that the madman Putin may use nuclear force. I find it hard to accept that he is so deranged that he isn't aware that, if he does then within hours, Moscow could be laid to waste in retaliation.

Ukraine wanted to join a trading partnership that more reflected its own, western leaning values.
Ukraine wanted to carry on with democratic values, akin to those enjoyed by most of Europe - instead of following the undemocratic dictatorship model.
Ukraine wanted to ally itself with countries that knew what they were doing when it came to matters military - rather than tether themselves to a ragtag and bobtail clueless outfit that is the Russian army.

It was Ukraines right, as an independent free state, to pursue those aims without hindrance.
The only person who considers these as provocative is President Putrid - oh - and you.

Whatever country borders were in History a New Independent recognised State has the right to exist without being attacked or its Borders invaded.

I welcome the new war crime being considered since the invasion of Ukraine.
A crime of 'Agression' against a State will put a stop to years of attacks and defending border territories against so called 'Freedom Fighters'.

Nuclear weapons are old hat now, the only use to to cause armageddon which will end in self destruction as well. The new weapon of mass destruction is the thermobaric ones causing mass destruction but not the contamination.

You can't win with nuclear weapons, you can only lose and take the rest with you, modern hypersonic and thermobaric weapons can destroy the opposition before they can do anything.

I have to laugh at the notion Russia has superior weapons.

The broken-down vehicles, unexploded munitions, and the disaffected soldiers lead me to think they would be likely to blow themselves up.

Then there's the positively barmy tactic of stretching your columns of armour across Ukraine as they broke down or simply ran out of fuel, whilst the Ukrainians picked them off.


For a country they want, they aren't half making a mess of it for themselves.

Then there are their losses, so great they send in mobile crematorium units.

A large number of high-ranking officers gone as well.

Captain Mannering would do a better job.
