The big difference in your scenario is the driver turned round, I'm guilty of this myself.
On a recent trip to Norfolk there were road closed ahead signs on the road I was driving on, it wasn't clear where the closure started so I continued, as it happens the road closure was on a side road off the road I was on so didn't affect me, so being a wally motorist and driving past the road ahead closed signs was correct, unlike you who by your own admission not only ignore the road closed signs but freely ride on the closed road once you know it is the road you are on, so tell me who is the actual wally!
