Living in your small house amongst your neighbours, many who will worry that it gets out.
Then there's this wailing sham when the pit-fighting beast savages innocent children or adults.
The current trend amongst thankfully a minority to buy these Frankenstein dogs is sick.
I agree with you. Anyone can turn up at a breeders with a wad of cash and buy the latest ‘in’ breed. Seems to be American bull dogs at the moment. However unsuitable the breed is for its potential new home doesn’t seem to be a consideration of the majority of breeders.
At least with re-homing charities, they normally come out to vet the suitability of both the property and the potential owners. When I adopted my first Greyhounds, I had a visit from both the owner of the charity as well as the charity vet before I was accepted as an adopter.

Is that what owning a dog is like, I must be extremely fortunate as none of our dogs has attacked anyone or behaved in a manner to alarm neighbours and we had a dog when we decided to have children and it was not the least bit different to it's normal self when the baby came home.
Many dogs have been needlessly put down due to irresponsible owners.

Reports coming in that a 3 year old boy was killed by the family dog in Rochdale:

It appears that the same address was the subject of previous complaints about dogs.

The Cane Corso is an Italian breed of mastiff. It is usually kept as a companion dog or guard dog; it may also be used to protect livestock. In the past it was used for hunting large game, and also to herd cattle.
Are Cane Corsos Good Family Pets? The Cane Corso can be a loving and devoted companion that wants nothing more than to please its owner. They are also known to be great guard dogs with a sharp sense of alertness. However, since they are a large sized dog, they do not make the best dog for families with small children.
