You have all BEAN warned....
What the hell ? My neighbour showed me these 2 tins of beans today, one can is 200 grammes, and the second is 150 grammes,as Heinz have REDUCED the sizes of their tins of beans...BUT THEY COST THE SAME DAMN PRICE ? Talk about firms ripping people off....I am sticking with Branston,as their sauce is a lot thicker and tastier than Heinz, and you get MORE beans in a tin anyway....Check before you buy the next time you're out shopping,as this is disgusting of a massive World renowned branded company to do this to its customers....
Size DOES matter when it comes to ripping off your customers.

Still, baked beans on toast, is one of the cheapest 'meals' going and an obvious staple for the hard-up - who probably go to Lidl/Aldi anyway for their own-brand beans. Whilst for many live-aloners, that reduced size may even be welcome - ever tried to eat a whole 200g tin singlehanded?

They are 'side portions' if I was having beans on toast it would a proper size tin of Branston.
Other brands are appearing in different sizes, Lurpak spreadable larger size has shrunk.

That would be OK if they reduced the price along with the size.
I think Tesco went into a dispute with Heinz over prices.
There are a few things I don't mind paying extra for. Take milk for example. I think it's about £1.50 now for 4 pints. Not 2 years ago it was about £1.09. Now I don't mind paying extra if it went to our farmers. But often they are priced out of the market by giant retailers.
That narks me. As does bringing meat and such from literally the other side of the world. At a cost again to our farmers. Not to mention the environmental cost.
And there endeth my boring rant about milk and meat.

If Heinz are now offering 150g tins in addition to the 200g option then they've introduced another option, rather than having discontinued a larger option to then replace with a smaller option yet at the same price?
Has the 200g sized option increased in price?

As I mentioned on the home page. Pound Bakery on Chapel Street has raised the price of cheese on toast from £1 to £1.25 overnight.
25% increase - now that's a rip off!

On Tesco's site, the 150g tin is 65p, the 200g is 80p.
But there are quite a few examples of 'shrinkflation' out there.

Seems a lot.
I don't know how big Pound Bakery is, so I don't know if they can absorb price increases, but I would imagine for a lot of small / medium businesses the cost of raw materials is rocketing.
Shame though, cos cheese on toast is the only thing I've ever enjoyed from Pound Bakery.
