The same reason I avoid cycling threads like the plague. Rightly or wrongly, they always turn into bickering between one cyclist and one of the rest who don't like the cyclist. So the original point of the thread is lost.

Write what you like, but there are other users of the forum and of this thread whom I doubt want to read your point-scoring and sneers.
