These agitators are not very nice people if their reputation serves them well - I was informed that when they were trying to get recruits, they came across an autistic boy and were making fun of him kicking and spitting on him saying that they did not want anyone like that in their army. The Azov Battalion locked a large number of these people in a building, sealing all windows and doors - then set light to it. Many people perished cruelly.

Still, in the wonderful free Russia, I can confidently predict Putin will win the "election" and send hundreds of thousands to their deaths invading Ukraine.

It's worth understanding how the Soviet Union disintegrated.

From very early on when it became OK to say so ( or at least the Kremlin was too weak to stop you) the Ukraine was prominent among those looking to establish independence. Not least because it had been plundered for its produce by the German occupiers, and then when we carved up Europe again they got the Russians instead.

Early on the Kremlin tried to suppress Ukranian influence not least because it set examples for the other states seeking to escape control by the Kremlin. When that became impossible it tried to negotiate an arrangement which might still give Russia some control. That failed too.

So Ukraine got its freedom and a chance of prosperity. And its example, so did other former Russian provinces, even though some of them were less blessed with resources than the Ukraine.

While all this was happening Putin was a rising KGB officer and saw all this as a testament to weakness in the Kremlin. Having risen to a position in Moscow which made him the broker as the Russian economy was parcelled out the Russian people were cheated wholesale out of their national resources . It also meant that Putin took a % of each deal (making him one of the richest men in the world) and gave him great power over the oligarchs he had made fabulously wealthy.

Most of those oligarchs scattered around the world, but they are always dependent on Putin's approval. He is able to freeze their assets , for example. For him they provide a great network for achieving Russian foreign policy aims.

For example. We know the extent to which these people reside in the UK. Indeed we devised a special "golden visa" for them in 2013 and they have been pretty grateful towards the party which made that possible. To the extent ( hard to believe) of one of them acting as Treasurer for the party. Our London legal system is constantly enriched and consumed in litigation emanating from these people.

And when Trump was teetering on the edge of yet another bankruptcy ,in, I think 2014, through failure to sell overpriced NY apartments, some Bulgarian types bought them ( without even knocking him down). If you think that was just business, grow up. Bulgaria was never known either for bring rich or having international property aspirations. Now he had Trump in the web too.

All along Putin, already fabulously rich, has been interested in power and ultimately the restoration of a USSR. Reversing the situation in the Ukraine is the start. He says he has no further ambition. I don't believe him.That's why we are fighting him as hard as we can, short of WW3. But Putin's connections in the US, and especially through Trump's camp, is why the House ( not the Senate, where Trump has less influence) are opposing the funds for Ukraine.

Galloway is on the outer fringes of this lot.Putin will value him for any chaos he can engender in our political system.

There are not millions of Russians fleeing from Russia. The Ukraine does not have the manpower nor the sophistication of armoury that Russia has - so it is unlikely that it would be Russia losing many. Where do you get Russia plundering his own country - that's ridiculous?

The Ukraine has some sophisticated armoury courtesy of the many countries that support them.

It is held up by munitions supply problems, especially from the US even so it holds the superpower Russia in so much of its vast land.



41 countries, specifically the EU member states, other members of the G7, as well as Australia, South Korea, Turkey, Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, India, and Iceland support Ukraine.



Russias list is a tad smaller.
