What are your views on this topic. Should Transgender men be allowed in women's prisons? Say why you think they should be or if not, why not?

Dangerous ground here Said. Whatever way you think, there will be those who violently disagree with your way of thinking.

My own personal opinion is that no transgender male should be sent to a female prison unless they have had the full transformation. i.e, they have had all male genitalia removed.
But even then, most will still possess a body shape and strength way above the average female, so I would have say that each case should be judged individually as to whether they pose any sort of threat to a woman before they are assigned a place in a female prison.

Male bodied transgender people should not be incarcerated in the female estate, in my opinion.

Statistics show they are much more likely to be sex offenders than the rest of the male prison population. To house them with women is unthinkable. I've read many instances where male sex offenders have shared a cell with females - with predictable results.

And there is the 'sudden onset gender dysphoria' where the sight of an arrest warrant has plunged an offender into 'realising' they are trans. Nothing to do with trying to be housed among women, of course...

Having said that, genuine transgender individuals should be treated with the same dignity offered to others. Placing a male, who has gender dysphoria and lives as a woman, among the male prison population is surely extremely dangerous. I'd say that such an individual should be kept apart as other vulnerable male prisoners are.

The recent case of Scarlet Blake, a trans woman who livestreamed her / himself skinning a cat before murdering a man, brought the question of male / female prisoners into focus. The MSM initially described him as a 'woman'. Problematic in several ways. Women tend not to kill in such violent ways and it skews the crime figures. Whether Blake is a woman or not is down to opinion, but I think the decision to house him in the male estate is a wise one.

It's about time women were given gender protection.

If you wish as a man to behave as a woman fine "get the dress" but you're still a man.

Have the so-called op and you're still a man, an elephant without "its trunk and floppy ears" is still an elephant.

The reality that there are a lot of people unhappy with their lot is more the issue than thinking a change of gender will be the answer.

The grass is so often not any greener on the other side of the gender hill.

We are going to end up having to have a dedicated trans prison.

Otherwise there will probably be murders in male prisons and serious anxiety in female ones.

It's convenient but not realistic to classify people simply by whether they have male or female genitalia. There is a host of emotional and psychological issues going on.

I'm also of the opinion that if a prison of your choice is an actual concern, by far the better option is DON'T COMMIT CRIMES IN THE FIRST PLACE.
