Right To Protest
Clearly Law and order is breaking down in our country the weak left wing so called Conservatives have allowed the protestors to run amok in our country often leaving court (if they get there) with minimum sanctions.
Today I saw the lone protestor being arrested for carrying a placade telling us "Hamas are terrorists", it appears telling the truth is an arrestable offence.
Its ok were told he was de-arrested afterwards.
We look towards the liar Starmer and terrorist enabler being our PM and we should worry really worry.
Before the lefty losers jump to the liar's defence just look who he has gone out of his way and beyond his job requirement to defend the indefensible for.

It appears there is a new crime.
Arresting for one's own safety.
Victim blaming is expanding.

I dispute your constant attempts to place everything as some sort of left wing failings.
However I would agree to a point that currently all these protests are remarkably one sided, probably get some stick for this post, but here goes.
It’s fair to say that the vast majority wish to see an end to the carnage in Gaza, however it requires both sides to cease hostilities and back off, including release of all hostages taken. These Pro-Palestine marches strike me to be just as much anti Israel/Jewish marches.
Note no protest marches regarding the Hamas attack with torture, rape, murder and kidnapping, no protests about Houthis launching missiles at civilian shipping traversing International seaways, which has forced much shipping to avoid the area, no protest about Hezbollah launching shells and missiles into Israel, forcing the evacuation of adjoining areas.
Are these protests more aligned to religion than anything else? Is it somehow acceptable for one group to commit attacks then scream when they provoke a retaliatory response? I know it’s fashionable to blame Israel for all the disputes in the M E, but is this entirely true? Hardly.
How about protests regarding the supplier and provider to these terrorists, Iran, or will that simply provoke more contra support?

It's just tautological bollox.
Organised religion makes me uncomfortable, including Judaism (emphasised because Jewish people "feeling uncomfortable" is what this is all about), I'm not going around stating organised religion is all extremist.
It'd be funny if this wasn't so dangerous coming from a right wing party packed with extremists, but it sounds like the Tories are just being offended and whining about it. I thought they called that "woke ideology"?

Agree that all organised religion is uncomfortable, no-one is alleging that all the followers of any particular religion are extremists or terrorists, but it is undoubtedly clear that most of not all terrorist groups, hide behind some religion or other and certainly gain support from within that religion.

Religion IS organised - therefore this is tautological. Are you sure you do not mean teleological?
The most controversial religions are those which involve politics. Islam most certainly, Judaism and Jehovah's also to a lesser extent. The huge majority of good people do abide with, to at least some extent, with the commandments that have a varying number of rules depending on which country you live in.
The modern day 'Woke' rules are modern day ill thought out whims that originated in the USA and which have rebounded with much ridicule.

We have every right to protest - peacefully.
Regardless of political views or the issue that's inspired anyone to take action, protests should be peaceful.
Slashing artwork isn't 'peaceful'. Creating 'no-go' areas isn't peaceful.
On the other side of that, arresting (then un-arresting) someone for holding up a sign speaking the truth doesn't help keep protests peaceful. Completely bizarre.
As far as the current pro-Palestine protests are concerned I think that a good portion of those marching really do believe they will sway the government's policies through action. But I also believe a good portion back Hamas terrorism.
I also think the police are scared of Islamists.
Peaceful protest: fine. No problem. Protests that strike fear or support terrorism: not fine at all.

Labour were OK with Lee.
But Lee sidlled up to Johnson's Conservatives. And now of course, to Reform!
They're all heading in the same direction.

Good evening local.
Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that 99% of politicians are not in their jobs as their vocation. Not dedicated anymore.
That goes for nearly all of them.

I don't follow that thinking there are quite a few who would never get a job of any consequence in the real world but there are an awful lot of hardworking dedicated members on all sides.
Quite a few who clearly aren't in it for the money which is so often heard.

They may be 'not in it for the money ' directly but I think that many are in it for the kudos the position brings and the avenues and doors opening.

In a pluri-national society it is so wrong to protest about anything to do with any country other than our own. All these protests illuminate is the fact that the people who have come to settle in the UK do not have British allegiance if they are so concerned about their own homeland. Why are these people protesting in the UK - few British people care? Why don't they return to their homeland to protest where it may be more effective?
