Kew ward councillors Cllr Laura Lunn-Bates, Cllr Jen Corcoran and Cllr Sean Halsall, have paid for the replacement of 6 trees in Haig Avenue as well as one on Rutland road and Scarisbrick new road.
Last year, 6 trees on Haig Avenue were marked for removal for Health and Safety Reasons for highway users.
As councillors, we chose to spend ward funds to replace these trees for the residents of Haig Avenue and to reduce the impact on the environment. It is great to see these being planted!

I was under the impression that every Planning application that was pass for a dwelling, had to plant 3 trees. If you have no room you paid the Council £1,000 for the Council to plant trees somewhere in Sefton. Does this still happen?
