a new plan for the UK economy?
…
“ In 1997, the last Labour government established the enterprise and growth unit within the Treasury. Squarely focused on driving economic growth. It was a source of important policy ideas, including the reform of competition law and the creation of a longer-term science funding framework,” …
…
… As we did at the end of the 1970s, we stand at an inflection point, and as in earlier decades, the solution lies in wide-ranging supply-side reform to drive investment, remove the blockages constraining our productive capacity, and fashion a new economic settlement, drawing on evolutions in economic thought.”

Were still paying for the last disaster that was some of Labours great plans.
Rachel Reeve is so far above her paygrade she must be getting breathless.
She was a lowly pen pusher in a room full.
There was a time Labour could wheel out the very able Alistair Darling or even Gordon to try and cap the lunatic plans but it appears no one of that calibre is available.
The dearth of high achieving smart politicians is a problem for all parties it appears not many want to be shot at for relatively little money.
It seems we expect to run the country with jumped up councillor level people.
At some point the tombola politics will have to cemented by labour.
The Conservatives I have little doubt will trot out the same old tosh and liars will stand on that ticket and then do their best to disrupt it.
They have a long line of dishonest politicians who lied to get elected.

That long line of dishonest politicians is headed by "Lord" Boris Johnson.
Some time have a look at what they promised in 2019.
The"oven-ready deal"
A solution to social care
Levelling-up

Oh Rodney you are funny, desperate as ever for some whataboutery, Boris saying he had an oven-ready deal is just plain old political exaggeration he in fact had some road kill and stale chips.
He did have an answer to social care and there was some levelling up.
Next, you will demonstrate your ignorance and bring up the Queen..............
