Global Warming
Errrh! I don't mean to be sarcastic, but for several years now they have been predicting Global Warming - but their predictions do not seem to cope with a starting date.
Does anyone have any idea when this might occur or when it will reach it's peak? I'm still having to wear a coat.

A raincoat - any connection?

The evidence is overwhelming.
The rate of change since the mid-20th century is unprecedented over millennia.
Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 800,000 years, there have been eight cycles of ice ages and warmer periods, with the end of the last ice age about 11,700 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.
The current warming trend is different because it is clearly the result of human activities since the mid-1800s, and is proceeding at a rate not seen over many recent millennia.1 It is undeniable that human activities have produced the atmospheric gases that have trapped more of the Sun’s energy in the Earth system. This extra energy has warmed the atmosphere, ocean, and land, and widespread and rapid changes in the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, and biosphere have occurred.

No doubt you’ll dispute the solid scientific evidence offered by NASA as well as countless peer reviewed articles, and offer absolutely nothing to support your hare brained crackpot theories that it’s all some kind of hoax.

Well - the evaporation of water is the most plentiful greenhouse gas on this planet - and that keeps the Earth cool - so, the planet cannot be warming with all the rain we are experiencing - if that is what you mean?
Otherwise - no! My raincoat is not warm enough.

I am not a scientist by any means but those messages by the OP betray such a serious failure to grasp either what climate change is about ( which you need to be able to deny it!) or physics more generally.
I don't even know if it's meant to be humorous

Hoax/Conspiracy Theory
As I understand it, the 'hoax' is down to climate scientists, who will say anything to keep their funding/salaries going. Yet, compared to the mega $billions that BIG oil, coal and gas are raking in every year - those scientists are on peanuts!

Doesn't the latest research show that methane produced by decaying waste, including, food, is now the number one bad guy?

It is always good science to question the mainstream beliefs and with the atmosphere at roughly 0.04% CO2 there is margin for discussion.
CO2 levels in the atmosphere have reached 421 parts per million, or 0.0421%, according to NASA.
But wherever you are in the argument I cannot see a reason for polluting the earth as we clearly have done.
The market is crying out for cleaner greener and hopefully cheaper solutions to our energy needs.
Shipping fuel from across the world is beyond barmy when we have our own.
Ironically a beacon of green is Norway number 3 in the world and how do they pay for it;
Norway is the 8th largest natural gas producer in the world and ranks as the 4th largest exporter of natural gas globally (pipeline and LNG). Norway has replaced Russia as the largest supplier to the European natural gas market, exporting 122 billion standard cubic meters in 2022.

What you don't mention is that the profits Norway generates from its gas accrue to the state, and fund green measures.
Whereas any increase in our gas or coal production will enrich the private sector, which then puts much of it into campaigns to slow down the elimination of carbon energy.

It is rubbish as many will tell you - but then, unless you are being paid by the various governments - the scientific facts to support what these many claim are well known.

The majority of people are not scientists, that is why they can be fooled.

That's a kicker Rodney on your case saying you don't understand something

Accelerated Warming
Signs #Global Warming is accelerating. E.g. more rapid snowmelt, as Russia is experiencing. Resulting in their rivers bursting banks and causing significant flooding.

Looking forward to seeing your ‘scientific facts’ that show we aren’t in fact experiencing global warming after all, preferably something peer reviewed.
Please do, I’m in need of a good laugh.
Crank.
