Remember when you could buy the broadsheet Westmoreland Gazette in Taylors - a real newspaper then and still a real newspaper now (despite its change to a tabloid) that's full of local news, features and advertising.
It costs just £1.60 for 96 pages and has stayed true to its local roots with a double spread of news from around the local towns and villages.
Part of the Newsquest Group, it's a real local newspaper - if only the same could be said of the Liverpool based Ormskirk Advertiser...
£2.50 a week for just 32 pages - is that what you call a rip off?
