Your harping back to conditions of many years back.
He’s totally deluded expecting people to make 30000 bike journey’s a DAY.

It can be argued as to whether those times were better, but the fact is you and your oppo would love to see that sort of situation returned, where everything was within easy travel distance, very few cars, but also very little choice for inhabitants.
You are pathetic.

The total ultimately depends on how many local trips (by whatever means) are currently being made. Bottom line is; with good infra, experience elsewhere indicates you can expect a third of those trips to be by bike.

This is why we need to control and limit people’s ability to drive anywhere and everywhere. You think this is acceptable.?
No one injured in this case, but only by the grace of god. Driver arrested on drug driving charges.
Why should cyclists, who cause very little or no damage whatsoever have to put up with the likes of people like this.?

As I say, you’re pathetic.
You won’t be driving much longer anyway, at your age you’ll soon be too dangerous on the roads. Then you’ll wish you’d campaigned for alternative travel.

Yes, an aspect that the 'no infra' brigade often overlook.....Protected tarmac is not just about bikes, it's also good news for users of disabled buggies, powered wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Forms of personal transport that there's plenty of in Southport, with its retired and ageing population.
