Supporters of changing our voting system to proportional representation were out delivering leaflets in Birkdale on Saturday.
Ken Lamden from Make Votes Matter Sefton and West Lancs said "Ahead of the coming general election we are asking people to tell politicians who come knocking that we need a better voting system. Under our archaic First past the post voting system millions of votes are wasted and Parliament simply doesn't represent the way we vote. First past the post is well passed its sell-by date and the only other country in Europe that uses it is Belarus".
In Southport all the Parliamentary candidates for the main parties except the Conservative MP, support changing to a PR system.

— Fair to say, FPTP is not good enough! However, no Proportional Reprentation alternative is GOOD ENOUGH!
In this century, we need to do better, if we want voters' intentions receive proper consideration.
PR is passé

Until someone invents something better, PR is by far the best of the bunch!
