Strange one here, just scoured the web for info cant find a thing, then remembered you

Castrol Oil 'freestanding' Despenser, sadly still in 'used' condition as cant find out how to restore. We think its from the 50's, still has pound, shilling and pence sticker.

Any ideas?

The item that you describe does not realy fall into the antique market, eventhough it is a collectors item.

I am always amazed when an item like yours come up for auction. The auctioneer trys to start the bidding at what I think is high. After a long silence the auctioneer keeps asking for a lower figure to start the bidding. Then a voice shouts out £1 and the auction starts. Then to my amazement the item sells for double what the auctioneer asked in the first place.

Condition is most important
Original name label, clean, no parts missing.
£.S.d. where still used up to Feb 1971

You could stick it on Ebay ...........start figur £4.99

We now know the logo dates from 1948- 1956, thats as far as we got, still dont know best way to restore.
