Arrow Charpentier - Figures in a landscape, oil on canvas

    Figures in a landscape

    ( Charpentier )

    Oil On Canvas

Hello John, and to all this may offend,

I am considering purchasing this oil painting I think if I can get for around £100 - £150, I think this will be a fair price to pay, perhaps cheaper, can I ask what you think of this painting John?

    Thank you in advance.

This is by far the best painting I have seen this year

and by far the best painting you have posted on this site.

It would seem you have learnt a lot.
    keep it up.

I bet Derek H would like to buy it for under £200

Do not let those noughts go to your head Vanny.

I assume the artist is Charpentier, however I am unsure which one, also how old you feel this painting is, if you could answer these questions Vanman

Is this serious, so you expect £10000? Or, do you think more like £200, I need to find out roughly, so I know how much to buy it for, what would you estimate it at?

Auction, tomorrow, and the guide price is £100 - £200, I hope to get it, but my feelings are it a modern copy of a older painting, but still worth something, I am unsure of which Charpentier artist, it is.

I saw it again, and I was quite sceptical when looking at it, in the end it sold for £400 + premium, some of the hardened dealers, also shared the same opinion.

    the ring.

It is made up of the antique dealers in a town were the auction takes place.

the attend the auction or leave bids with the other dealers, they buy most of the items. They do not bid against each other

and later they re auction the purchased items and split the profit according to the strength of their bidding.

    did you buy the painting.......NO
how much was it bought for...£400

it would have been re auctioned after the auction and I would guess between £2000 and £5000
