Any, term referencing to insulting calling somebdy a Nazi, is absolutely childish, and you have lost all respect for your comments, in my opinion, I will NOT, take advice off an absolute, stiff neck, braggat.
Why, would you be in the slightest part, be interested, about my spelling, maybe because, you have been sacked from your fine english school?
WJS, I believe that you believe what you are saying, I just don't agree, with your fascist opinions...
Now, I will not take advice off you, as I believe, I can spell however which why I like, your opinion, is not appreciated, so this is all I have to say on this petty discussion, in my view, this is all I have to say on the matter...
If I could just poke my nose into this misunderstanding before it spirals out of control, Advanced, may I say that I actually find your posts rather entertaining, as your liberal use of the comma makes them read (to me) in the voice of Reverend Lovejoy off The Simpsons.
OK that sure told me off Advanced. I will no longer try to take up for your ignorant rude posts.
As I said in a PM to someone a moment ago that I do believe that it is true that some of the brightest people are not very good with spelling and grammar but I certainly wouldn't apply this to you. You are just rude and you have proved it to me once and for all.
I just used a commonly used forum term that is by the way considered negative and in no way implies I am a fascist. Which not only just proves your rudeness to me.
I will continue looking in on the forum in the hopes that some genuine people will start posting, I now will no longer click on your posts.
Yes , it is a silly term. I am not a spelling pedantic, but am like others who follow this forum who are interested in antiques, but find it frustrating that it has become virtually monopolised by one poster whose posts are both difficult to read due to spelling, grammar, and the many website addresses. I believe this forum needs a shake up before it loses more readers and contributors.
I know, I said I would not post on this anymore...
But I have looked back on what has been said, and it has come apparent to me, that I interpruted your statement incorrectly, so I apoligise for this.
WJS, I must say you do have some audactiy, saying I am rude, when you are trying to correct my spelling this is very ironic.
Now, three of you posting your views, obviously, it is the bad cop, bad cop, bad cop routine.
However, now looking back on the situation, I can see your point and it is taken, I have to disagree, on the point you make about helping me I find this quite patronizing.. But, I will now be trying to keep my posting to a minimum, and only post items, I have in my possesion, where I can't find any information / vauations anywhere else.
Honestly, that is all I have to say on the matter.
I realise that comments on your total inability to use the English language correctly are a complete "waist" of time!
Since Vanny accepts your kidnapping of this forum, which I previously found to be of great interest, this will be the last time I log on to The Antique Spot. This is no longer a forum on antiques, but a list of web addresses that are of little or no interest to the general public. I am at a complete loss to understand why this forum continues in its present grain. But as I said, I will not be logging on again, so I won't see any justification that might be forthcoming in the future.
Happy New Year Derek
I am sorry we are loosing you.......don't go
Kidnapping
He is only one of a few posters who has taken me up on my offer to help people who are interested in antiques.
With Advanced we have to show patience. He is very enthusiastic about antiques....That is a good thing.
I now, know what it is by the way Vanny, it is a Victorian Prayer Chair, I would say £50, sound about right ?
It is not a prie-dieu. A prayer chair is for kneeling as well as sitting. It is more like a decorative oak spinning wheel chair / hall chair. The likes of which seem to be quite common in the black Forrest area. Made around the turn of the 20th century not comfortable and a bad design as it has no stretchers. You also see them in pine wood. Best to be used for putting your hat on.
in auction I would think you would buy one for £10 - £15
please note it is theantiquesman account on qlocal that is now only used, thank you
