The Ainsdale Civic Society is holding its 10th Annual Open Gardens Week-End on the 12th & 13th July with 17 gardens open to view.
Local residents open their gardens to allow you all to enjoy a variety of different styles of gardens. The gardens are diverse and vary from a woodland garden to cottage gardens.
These are not the large gardens that you might expect; rather they are extraordinary gardens in ordinary homes. However, the love and attention which has been poured into these gardens, is obvious to the visitor.
There will be a vintage bus travelling between the gardens which will leave Station Road approximately every 30 minutes for those ticket holders who do not have transport or have difficulty in walking – this is a free service courtesy of Howards DIY & Gardening
The tickets, which are very reasonably priced at £5 per adult, cover admission to all the gardens over the two days. Accompanied children under the age of 12 go free. All ticket proceeds go to the society funds to help care for our Village and many charities also benefit from the week-end.
So come along and support our local gardeners and enjoy a week-end with a difference.
Tickets are available at the following Ainsdale shops: Howards DIY; Grayson’s Bakery; The Chocolate Box; Brough’s Butchers. For further details please contact Iris on 01704 573256
