    A Prime Minister with balls!!!

HUNGARY is set to split Europe in two by building a huge network of
fences along its entire southern border in a desperate bid to stop the
    flow of illegal immigrants.

No-nonsense prime minister Viktor Orban has styled himself as a defender
of Christian Europe, repeatedly ignoring pleas from European Union (EU)
bureaucrats to open up his country's borders to millions of migrants.

The latest plans are bound to infuriate Brussels further, with Hungary
already under pressure for its controversial deportation system which
can see asylum seekers booted out of the country within hours of arriving.

Mr Orban said: "We will teach Brussels, the human traffickers and the
migrants that Hungary is sovereign country."

He added: "We cannot solve the demographic problems of the undeniably
dwindling and ageing European population with the Muslim world without
losing our lifestyle, security and ourselves. Those coming here have no
intention of adapting to our lifestyle."

And he blasted: "If necessary, we will protect ourselves all the way
    from Slovenia to Ukraine."

Conservative Mr Orban has been a repeated opponent of mass migration,
warning that large numbers of Muslim refugees will change the culture of
    Europe forever.

He said: "The best migrant is the migrant who does not come."

During a scathing speech, often interrupted by applause, he compared Brussels bureaucrats to the captain of a ship heading towards rocks who spends time "designating the non-smoking lifeboats instead of trying to avoid the collision". ............"Europe's future is endangered primarily not by those who want to come here, but by those political, economic and intellectual leaders who are trying to transform Europe in opposition to the European people.

    That's true.

Blimey I've regressed back to the 13th Century.

The Ottoman Empire is on the rise.

We'll be needing British Steel for all those swords.

    Have to agree with that.

It's one thing to offer temporary shelter to people displaced due to a war, etc. Perhaps setting up suitable camps, where they can feel safe from whatever they're fleeing.....But letting in millions on a permanent basis, and granting them full EU citizenship is another thing entirely. It's undesirable and there's absolutely no need for it. Refugees should be required to go home once the fighting in their homeland has ceased.

That is not practical or humane.

The simple answer is to end free movement in the EU and abolish Schengen system.

Refugees and Asylum Seekers could be shared amongst all EU countries
    under a fairer system.

If you shared the refugees and asylum seekers out more equally there would be more coming here, what needs to happen is for us to stop interfering in these countries and stop starting wars then there wouldn't be any refugees.

    A) It's a whole lot more humane than leaving them out in the cold. Why choose the EU anyway, if you're a refugee? We've got enough here already! There are plenty other places around the world to apply to their embassies for asylum.

    B) No, that's a retrograde step. You don't see the USA or China closing internal borders between all their States. If it was such a good idea, they'd have done it already. Doing that would cause far more problems than it would solve.

The EU should strengthen its external security sufficiently to stop the hordes, particularly of economic refugees from getting in...Genuine refugees can apply to an EU embassy whilst still in an external Country, e.g. Turkey.

    C) Sounds like a fair way to farm out the ones we've already let in. But with individual States refusing to participate, it's not going to happen. When you let too many in, there is inevitably a backlash from the public.

No problem with them coming here but these people shouldn't have to flee their homes especially when we've been instrumental in causing the problem.

We don't need them. There's enough unemployed in the EU already, particularly in our Southern States where the influx is happening.
