    Alcoholism- pt 2

Forumers might remember a few weeks ago I posted an item re the death in January of my daughter Nicola from alcohol abuse, and my intention to run an event to raise awareness of how alcoholism can invade even the most loving and prosperous family.
It can then break down family trust and care, and cause more heartache as people struggle to know how to help and maintain their own peace of mind.
I am hoping people can learn from our story and appreciate that there are sources of help, and that you are not alone. Although it's a sad story I intend the whole evening to be a positive experience
    The event is now planned
It will be called “This was Nicola’s life” and will be at the Salvation Army building in Shakespeare Street Southport at 1930 on November 11.
I hope to have support organisations represented and for any contributions to go to them.
I hope to see Forum members there and that you will pass on this information to others

I will get there if I can. It is impossible for me to plan ahead as I never know where I have to be - But I will try to attend.

The most devastating part of alcoholism is that alcoholics are in constant denial and do not recognise they have a problem until it is too late. It does not matter how much others do to help them, nor how much other people love them - help can only be achieved if they realise what they are doing and help themselves.

You are doing a great service - it must be heart rendering for you - I wish you all the best and I hope to see you there.

Thanks for the email. Now in the news section. Any issues or errors then please email.

I wish you all the best for this talk. Very courageous of you - but probably not the right word.

If you would like it promoting again like on the 9th November then send us an email again.
