That is a pity - the shop front looked good on Chapel Street.

I have never purchased anything from there, the items look very much the same as H. Samuels and Ernest Jones - not my style. The reviews for these companies are really not good. The last two companies were under an umbrella group of Ratners, until the director likened a pair of diamond earrings to a 99p prawn sandwich - I think he was encouraged to resign because they lost a lot of customers, and 300 stores had to close. They are now under the name of Signet. Personally, I would always go for the antique stuff, better made, higher purity of metal, etc.,

Great shame, but no huge surprise nowadays.

It didn't sell the highest quality merchandise, but there must have been a market for it at some point. Not everyone can afford quality items, but a little bling can be fun.

    Now more jobs lost.

Good job the economy is in steady, strong and stable hands...

We are so lucky to be in the hands of the fiscally responsible, caring nasty party.

I would not like his job at the moment - but give him his due, he does not give a sh.. what anyone says or does, he will not listen to the objections of the renegade MP's, he will not care about the moaners, he will do what he has to do! Hopefully that will be in our favour!

    You've just contradicted yourself there.

"Hopefully that will be in our favour!"

Depends what your definition of a short while is - it's been open for a couple of years at least (Google Street view shows it dated on Apr 2017)...

and as for peoples jobs, not knowing personal circumstances of any of those now due to lose their jobs, your throwaway remark is perhaps a bit ill-considered.
