Appeal to help Southport hospital staff and patients

We have a friend who works at the hospital . She is working all hours and has put off her planned retirement next month.

Talking to her last night she described some of the issues, where we can help...

STAFF don't get many breaks, and when they do need a lift of both energy and morale. They can't wander down to the shop to buy a chocolate bar. So if you have any cake-biscuits-chocolate to spare, please donate. Must be wrapped.

PATIENTS having no visitors, are without some of life's simple humanities; soap, shower gel, toothpaste, moisturiser...anything like that. Do you have any unwanted gifts lurking in a cupboard?

LINEN. There is great pressure on linen supplies and laundry. Do you have any sheets or pillowcases to spare?

If you have any of this, you can bring to us. We have arrangements for it to be collected. We hope to have a few more hubs established soon but for now

Incredibly by tonight the hospital had so much stuff they asked us to stop for at least a few weeks.
