The "cheap labour from the EU" never did undercut anyone. Because they took jobs we wouldn't do in places where we wouldn't live. Their absence is why we have so many jobs unfilled; pay rises are making no difference to that.
Johnson spoke about a "High skill, high wage" economy. Then did nothing about it. Unchanged skill levels and low investment, with rising wages are disastrous.
It is the Black Economy that undercuts wages, if inflation was not so high people would not be striking, it isn't worth it for an extra 1% or so but with inflation now forecast to reach double figures and pay offers falling well short there is plenty to strike for.

The "black economy" is nothing like as big as it used to be.
Understandably people want to keep up with prices but the biggest driver of inflation at the moment energy costs is to a large extent homegrown.
Boris's and his predecessor's faux green energy policies.

Laughable ignorance, the idea that migrants only did the jobs we didn't want.
You are regurgitating the unconvincing lies that failed to convince during the referendum campaign.
If you had ever been in the real world you would know.
Did you close your ears to Polish Plumbers, Construction workers etc ?
We had hundreds in this town suppressing the wages of local workers.
Back in the real world KPMG reported on the improvement in wages;

You just make yourself look even more silly with each post. With your grasp of economics you could qualify as an adviser to Liz Truss.

LL hasn't said that that only suggested that burning at the stake is a prerequisite for sainthood, other forms of martyrdom should also be considered some even more barbaric.

What is it with the need on this forum to discuss the potential killing of Tory MPs?

Ha! You really think so?!
If already proven that discussing the killing of Tory MPs or making absolutely disgraceful, anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on this forum not only doesn't attract a ban but it'll barely even attract a comment or any response (the 'invisible post' phenomenon) - especially from those who otherwise like to advertise themselves as being against murder and racism. It's sometimes posited on this forum that it can be surmised that those who don't expressly disagree with something being said therefore silently agree. Hmmm.
Some posters can post with impunity and -what's more- know they can.
