Denmark's Treatment of Refugees
Quote
"CRIMINALS WITH EXPULSION ORDER AND PERSONS ON TOLERATED STAY TO BE MOVED TO DESERT ISLAND
It was considered a sick joke, when MP Karen Jespersen 18 years ago came up with the idea to put rejected asylum seekers on a desert island. Now this is becoming reality, but for a different group, namely persons on Tolerated Stay, criminals with expulsion order and rejected asylum seekers who have broken a law close to their asylum center. The small island Lindholm in the bay of Stege has been used for research on swine fever and foot and mouth disease, and today you must be in quarantine after visiting the island. All buildings must be renovated, cleaned with formalin and left to “air out” for 6 months before they can be taken into use.
This will be the new home from 2021 for people who have been sentenced an expulsion order from Denmark which for some reason can’t be carried out in near future. There will be a ferry connection to the island. The expenses will be enormous. Legal experts are afraid this might be in breach of the conventions regarding detention. The crime rate around Kærshovedgård, where this group is forced to live at the moment, is not higher than other places according to the police, but neighbours feel nervous. Denmark used the island Sprogø from 1923 to 1961 to isolate “morally defect” women from society."

This was a very interesting article in today's Mail on Sunday and whilst seeming heartless, I tend to agree with the system. The word refugee is now used in an incorrect context, i.e. the majority are not seeking refuge, merely a different lifestyle. However, they are not content to contribute to that lifestyle or the country of their choice but are happy to seek whatever they can by whatever means. To see the Eastern European 'refugees' urinating in the fountains in London and using them to wash their clothes, etc.etc.etc. is horrendous and something that should never have been allowed to happen. Sadly, in this country, we seem unable to do anything about it.

I'm pretty sure Eastern Europeans are immigrants not refugees.

If you're hoping to be welcomed in someone elses country. Be accepted by the community, find a sympathetic employer and set up home, etc -- Behaving like that is absolutely NOT the way to go about it....some people have a lot to learn!

This is an EU Country.

"In summer 2015, the Danish government cancelled unemployment benefits for asylum seekers, replacing them with a new integration benefit that effectively reduced state support by 45pc. The government then publicised the changes in both English and Arabic in four Lebanese newspapers. The trend of increased arrivals reversed the following year. In 2017, there were only 3,458 applicants, down from 21,316 in 2015. This past December, the government announced it would not accept its quota of resettlement refugees from the UNHCR, opting out of the quota programme entirely"

I also agree! A large number of immigrants/refugees have no respect for the host country. The authorities should be much tougher with these people than they are now. Shop lifting has increased, fly tipping has increased, attacks on vulnerable people has increased
"The amount lost to retail crime has risen by 166 per cent in five years – but only around one crime in 10 is reported to police, the figures suggest." EXPRESS
"Existing research suggests that labour market opportunities have a significant impact on immigrant crime rates. [11] Young, male and poorly educated immigrants have the highest individual probabilities of imprisonment among immigrants." WIKOPEDIA
"Immigration officials ignored possible evidence of fraud in nearly a third of applications which resulted in visas being granted, inspectors said." MIRROR
"Locations in England with the highest number of fly-tipping incidents in 2016/2017:
- Enfield – 75,614
- Haringey – 33,333
- Manchester – 28,508
- Croydon – 24,797
- Hounslow – 22,973
- Liverpool – 20,832

…...….Starting at the age of 1, “ghetto children” must be separated from their families for at least 25 hours a week, not including nap time, for mandatory instruction in “Danish values,” including the traditions of Christmas and Easter, and Danish language. Noncompliance could result in a stoppage of welfare payments. Other Danish citizens are free to choose whether to enroll children in preschool up to the age of six.
Yildiz Akdogan, a Social Democrat whose parliamentary constituency includes Tingbjerg, which is classified as a ghetto, said Danes had become so desensitized to harsh rhetoric about immigrants that they no longer register the negative connotation of the word “ghetto” and its echoes of Nazi Germany’s separation of Jews.

Quote from 2016
"Under the new Danish law, police will be allowed to search asylum seekers on arrival in the country and confiscate any non-essential items worth more than 10,000 kroner (£1,000) that have no sentimental value to their owner."
How can they get away with it?
"The centre-right government said the procedure is intended to cover the cost of each asylum seeker’s treatment by the state, and mimics the handling of Danish citizens on welfare."

All the above could equally apply to the indigenous population, the only valid figures would be comparing like for like.

Agree.
Discrimination is seeping into Danish politics.
Whether the natives think the monetary parts are 'fair' or not to enforce them is causing social discrimination.
