    Letwin wins

But of course it's not really a win it is? 51% in favour Vs 49% against so not a clear majority, it's quite obvious that the 322 people didn't know what they were voting for...just reiterating words of the remainers!

They knew what they voted for, MPs want the withdrawal legislation cleared through parliament before Johnson is given the go-ahead.

Why? Probably because Parliament don't trust Johnson, they recognise him for the lying, cheating, underhanded, devious individual he is.

There are many areas of Johnson's deal which are bad for people, the environment and even countries within the UK, plus of course there are still plenty of people who don't want Brexit in any shape or form, you know that repealing article 50 will settle Brexit just as quickly as any leave date.

I'd say that if the vote went through when only 37% of MPs voted for it, that'd be closer to the referendum.

What is this Letwing Amendment? The Cooper Amendment? Benn Amendment? etc., Can we each suggest our own amendments to delay the issue any further?

It is odd that the excuse of Boris can't be trusted is used so often as though he can single handedly sneak us out on his own.

I have this vision of his gorilla like frame sneaking around in a bed shirt in number 10 candle in hand to the phone with Dom,

"psst donald were off, doing a midnight flit"
    "yes really"
    "bags packed and everything"
"no don't tell a soul I'm back orf to bed "

"Carrie I've done it, me and the dom, just tell everyone I was here with you"

"I'm going to blame govey bout time I got him back"

We have reached the silly season in Politics where ostensibly intelligent people are drawn along in this febrile nonsense.

So, he has sent the letter to the EU requesting a delay but has refused to sign it stating that the letter is from parliament and not from himself!

He also sent a document stating that he thinks a delay is not the best course of action - this he has signed.
It's gonna be an interesting week.

Evidently 3 letters have been sent, the EU have said they have received a properly constituted request, whether Johnson signed it or not is immaterial, but of course he wants to save face and continue his bullying tactics.

The real problem is even if he gets his deal through it solves nothing, the real difficulties are only just starting, getting all the assorted legislation through parliament will be just as difficult if not more so than the withdrawal agreement itself.

In other circumstances the claims that Brexit will reunite the country would be amusing, the country is bitterly divided and will remain so for a considerable period, the only thing which will reunite this country is for a measure of prosperity for the majority rather than the few.

Of course he isn't totally alone, he has a measure of support among like minded people, but it is also undeniable that Johnson has consistently lied many times, that his tactic has been to stifle and/or demonise any opposition.

On TV as I type Raab is ranting on with the usual cry of let's get this done, as if the entire population want this. The question of employment law as just come up Raab trying to say that removing workers rights will be better for workers under a Tory government, you couldn't make it up.

Why don't you think we will have a Labour Government ?

How anyone can vote for a move to delay Brexit (yet again) led by Letwin, a man so hapless he allowed two burglars into his home as they had asked to use his bathroom, is beyond me. He is probably in league with the odious dwarf Bercow, thank God, both of these horrors will soon be history. Smug Letwing has stated he will stand down at the next general election, very noble considering his constituency voted to leave and he would be toast anyway. Its come to something when MP’s need to be escorted out of parliament by the police as they were under threat by the rent a mob anti democracy rabble, most of whom have no shame or jobs, many shouting “Traitor” at Rees-Mogg, that’s rich, considering he is attempting to implement the democratic vote of the people.

The shrewdest group of people in this country are bookmakers, currently William Hills odds for a labour majority are 12/1 which says it all, no chance! As for the Liberal non-democrats, even though no right minded person would give them any consideration they are 33/1, may as well be 3333/1.

How on earth do you know whether or not protesters have jobs? How is that even relevant? I know several people from Southport who went on the march. I assure you they are gainfully employed.

Didn't hear many objections when Brexiteers surrounded the likes of Anna Soubry, screaming 'Nazi' into her face. Were they shameless and jobless too?
