He also called on Labour leader Ed Miliband and shadow chancellor Ed Balls, who were both key advisers to Mr Brown during his years as chancellor, to apologise.
Mr Balls, said the current Chancellor, George Osborne, had been a keen advocate of further banking deregulation when the Conservatives were in opposition.
Mr Osborne had accused Labour of being "too tough", he said, adding: "You aren't hearing that from George Osborne anymore."
Mr Balls also said: "I take my responsibility. I was in government. In Britain, our government, our central bank and our regulator, like in America, in Germany and across the world, we didn't get [bank regulation] right."

So Gordon Brown was supposed to have aplogised for doubling the debt, when are we going to hear from Cameron/Osborne for doubling it again and more?
The facts are that the Tories borrowed and spent (wasted) more than Labour, but of course in the eyes of those who won't see, Tories are the party of good economy while Labour just spend, spend, spend, please take note of Tory spending promises pre last election, then try again.

Pardon me but I have posted many times about debt repayment comparisons and Labour did come out on top.
The problem is those lessons from Browns tenure have not settled in the heads of the present shadow government.
You cannot saddle your future by spending recklessly.
Mr Corbyn was unfortunately leading a financially illiterate team who wanted to spend without thought, every day was a Corbyn gift day fortunately the electorate was sensible enough to see through them.

You know very well that I wasn't a Corbyn fan, but that doesn't mean that I would switch to voting Tory, I simply don't ever trust a Tory, too many years have taught me that.

Why is that a thread supporting the NHS has turned into the same old political bickering that seems to dominate every other thread on this site.
Isn't it possible to have a 'normal' chat without resorting to the attempts at political one-upmanship ?
