    Oh dear JRM

Someone has dug out a photo of the excuse for a human being, Rees-Mogg, taken in 2018....

    Behind him, on a screen...

The delays will be in Dover, not Calais.

Rarely can so many people have been so wrong.

He seems to be 'admitting' that it's the French's fault!

Rees-Mogg has no place in any government with the slightest interest in governing for the people.

He's an affectation. A haunted Victorian cadaver cosplayer. A particularly toxic cartoon.

    An unfunny joke.

You must remember to think that it's all our fault otherwise you will upset the groupthink who are only happy running down the country.

The French with so many of our "channel problems" hold the key to fixing the problems, they just choose not to.

They don't mind inconveniencing their own returning nationals and EU members, they do similar with the Spanish.

For some reason UK nationals, customers, going to visit their country and spend their money are seen as fair game to them.

Unbelievably some of the short thinkers here defend them in their madness.

The truculent French are a strange breed who have been cutting their nose off for years, maybe we should have let the Germans keep their country.

Your obsession with France is strange.
They are doing what the EU requires as a gateway into the 26 countries.
Whether you like that or not, that was a totally predictable consequence of Brexit and we had, as a minimum, three years to get ready.
But even this year this government refused Dover's requests to invest in more border booths.
Rees-Mogg is betting on anti-French sentiment to see them through and in your case he was been successful.

There is a world of difference between "running down the country" and rejecting the people who have led it into harm.

A bit like blaming the victim for being mugged.

In other news , while Holyhead and Fishguard go into decline, there are 21 new ferry routes between Ireland and the continent.

    You must be so proud.

As I wrote yesterday, the last refuge of the scoundrel. The 'you don't believe in this country', 'you're running the country down', it's always somebody else's fault.

It's the French, it's people who voted differently to them, it's the EU, it's the pandemic, it's Russia, it's strikers, it's Sturgeon, constant deflection from the issue at hand.

I'd say it's people who are gullible enough to listen to massive a-holes like Mogg - that other patriot with his off-shore accounts, his businesses registered in tax havens - that really need to look at themselves regarding patriotism. Those who are quite happy to see the country disintegrate as long as they wave their flags and screech 'sovereignty' (without understanding the meaning of the word).

They've been played. With the help of some powerful people. But still, they've been played like an old fiddle.

What a hoot I have an obsession with France now, you are amusingly thick on anything that involves the EU.

If it was entirely predictable to you that there would be queues because of increased checking of documents what would you do?

Pretend nothing had happened and carry on as you were I suppose.

    Very French.

You could even tear gas the people and children in the queues again very French.

Oh and don't forget to blame them just like you, very French.

Why not bash a few heads with a baton again very French.

To hell with your own nationals and fellow EU members using the entry points, you have a point to prove and your French.

Just like the migrants crossing from French beaches you could wave them off and escort them into UK waters all the while equipped with UK equipment, shrug their soldiers have a cigarette and go.

You carry on blaming us for their failings I suppose it gives you some comfort as the country and its politicians moves away from the EU.

Incidences like these just cement the relief at leaving the EU.

Their breath smells like garlic, too...
Is there a grown-up at home?
BTW the "group think" equates to the majority of people who can see the real world.
