I have long said that CRB/DBS checks are not worth the paper they are written on and this proves my point. Until someone is convicted of such offences they check out as clean with the Disclosure & Barring Service as it's now named. This man ran a drama group for kids, was involved with his local church, was a school governor and heavily involved with the Ainsdale show for many years. He'll never work with or near kids again, but it's far too late for his victims.

I hope his time in prison is as unpleasant as he deserves it to be.

it says on the Southport Visiter website a new owner with the same surname has taken over the company that Robert Darby owned and that Robert Darby will have nothing more to do with the Company but if you check with company house it says He is still a director along side this new director and also lists the last address for Robert Darby which is from the start of this year and has a children swings and play area very very close
